The food was really good overall. I noticed a slightly different flavor in the California roll, but it was still enjoyable. My only issue was that I spent $60 on food and asked for a little spicy mayo, and they told me it would be an extra $0.60. Come on, bruh — that’s usually free at most places.

Poke Bowl in Hillsborough is much better. The poke bowl topping options are limited at Poké star. When you order online, you can only choose one or two, and at Poké bowl you can get as much as you want of any of the toppings. Poke star gave me what I guess is supposed to be sushi rice but it just looks like regular white rice to me. It’s not sticky. Also, the mixed greens consisted of lettuce and huge pieces of spinach with thick, long stems that they should have cut off before serving. Flavor of the tuna was ok. Only saw literally 2 sesame seeds, but the sauce was very good and the place was clean and people were nice. $20 for one protein plus avocado here and it’s $17 for the same at Poke Bowl.

If you’re looking for a great spot for fresh and delicious poke, this place is a must-visit. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and every bite was packed with flavor. The portions were just right, and the balance of toppings made for a perfect meal. Highly recommend if you’re craving a high-quality poke bowl!
Hands down the best place to get a poke bowl in the area. It’s always fresh, prepared quickly in front of you, and reasonably priced. I always get raw fish and have never been disappointed with the freshness or flavor. The fact that you can add numerous toppings without being charged extra is fantastic. The atmosphere is also very “instagram vibes” without being over the top. Highly recommend.

This was our go to poke bowl and sushi place until tonight. The 3 stars are for all the excellent food we have had till date. However, tonight’s poke bowl was a sheer disaster. I could not find anyone at reception to share my disappointment so we simply walked out. How can poke bowl be so saucy/ syrupy? If you had mistakingly dumped too much sauce, simply toss it and do not serve that to your customer cos your food ain’t cheap! Mango was missing, avocado was sparse among other things. We will think twice before ordering again.

What an outstanding place for sushi! The food is super fresh, the staff is really nice, the place is very clean, and the prices can’t be beat. I had the 3 roll lunch special and my wife had the 2 roll special. Both of us were very full at the end and extremely happy with the whole experience at this place. We will definitely be back.
