The food was really good overall. I noticed a slightly different flavor in the California roll, but it was still enjoyable. My only issue was that I spent $60 on food and asked for a little spicy mayo, and they told me it would be an extra $0.60. Come on, bruh — that’s usually free at most places.

Poke Bowl in Hillsborough is much better. The poke bowl topping options are limited at Poké star. When you order online, you can only choose one or two, and at Poké bowl you can get as much as you want of any of the toppings. Poke star gave me what I guess is supposed to be sushi rice but it just looks like regular white rice to me. It’s not sticky. Also, the mixed greens consisted of lettuce and huge pieces of spinach with thick, long stems that they should have cut off...

If you’re looking for a great spot for fresh and delicious poke, this place is a must-visit. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and every bite was packed with flavor. The portions were just right, and the balance of toppings made for a perfect meal. Highly recommend if you’re craving a high-quality poke bowl!
