When they were open, the food was good. However, they are no longer in business. I have been calling and I submitted a request for them to update their operating hours on their website. I received no reply, yet it looks like they do respond to reviews. I drove there, and they are closed down. I am sure many drive there to dine in or order out and they are wasting a lot of customers time.
My wife found a nasty flying black bug in her oxtails and rice meal.... It was laying eggs in the food.. We will cook our own Caribbean food for now on at home
The wait for the food was pretty long, but my veggie rasta pasta was delicious! Some kind of spicy orange-colored sauce, veggies, and it came with a couple of fried plantains, which were also really good - if I had room for dessert I would've just gotten more of those. The restaurant looks nice and relatively fancy, the server was polite, everything was good except for the wait. I'll definitely come again when I'm in less of a hurry.
This restaurant clearly thinks that they are serving people who are unfamiliar with Jamaican food. We ordered curry goat and received curry chicken that had been chopped up as to mimic goat. Goat is a more expensive protein. The flavor is much different, but the cost and flavor wasn't the real issue. Chicken bones are dangerous when they have been chopped up and broken. Goat bones are not. They might as well have served us a plate of curried glass shards. Besides that, three of our sides are missing and I'm frankly surprised that plain white rice was served instead of rice and peas. Also, overboiled frozen vegetables are not a salad. Don't eat here.
Instead of trying to defend the bad customer service and little to nothing of food and coming on here, you should take time and groom your partners. And my son was told it comes with it. Don't worries NEVER AGAIN! after while wicked ways catches up. and I didn't want a entree by the reviews the entree that you consider to be Is Far from it so please about a entree ok.
Best food I’ve tasted from leaving Jamaica.. I read some of the reviews I couldn’t believe after trying still and i wonder what’s wrong with people food is amazing
We stopped in today for lunch and it was great. I had the goat curry which was perfectly seasoned, and my husband had the j*** chicken sandwich. Our red beans and rice was also perfectly seasoned. Apparently they are thinking about bringing back a DJ or live music and I cant wait. Grab some Red Stripes and head over for a little bit of the islands.
Really love the vybz of this place!! The J*** Shrimp Salad is a must-try! They really nailed down the smokiness of the shrimp and achieved that perfect charred grill. Oxtails w/ Butter Beans is incredibly flavorful and delicious. Would definitely come back and even dine in when it’s much safer!
You did not address the GOAT MEAT! The rice and veggies were fine just no meat for $21.00! Easy steps! Don't come on here getting attitude with us about your Service! Look at some of the other comments on here they address the same thing about getting only goat gravy versus goat meat! Why do I have to drive another 25 mins twice to address your issue. It shouldn't be a issue in the first place.
This place is amazing wonderful staff and great food I read the reviews I’ve seen people leave and I was worried about going. But this place need more credit for there food and amazing decor. Plus Dj on Saturday was great I enjoyed myself this Saturday. I had the Rasta Pasta and my husband the oxtails worth every dollar spent.

This place was recommend to me by a friend i usually buy my food from Bamboo Jamaican Grill restaurant in Trenton but this place was closer. Problem # one is that everything is one price there is no small medium or large just one price one size. Problem #2 how do you serve hot steamy food in a paper container what sense does that make by the time i got back to my job the container basically evaperated. Problem #3 I purchased 2 meals for $20 each total $45.82 my curry goat was basically gravy it just seemed like the chef ran out of meat and used a spoon to scoop the bottom of the pot, i regret not checking my meal before leaving. I was so mad i had to speak to the manager. Never again. I'd rather drive across town for better service
Very flavorful j*** chicken with excellent plantains and cooked vegetable sides. The j*** flavoring was not obnoxiously spicy, the right kind of heat that comes from using superior peppers (a little in the back) and where the spice flavors come together without tasting too raw. Also recommend the bread and Jamaican patty. Be aware they are short staffed so plan your visit accordingly or order in advance if you don't like to wait on-site for a long time. Be patient because the food is worth it. The service is pleasant and hardworking. The name belies the food.
So glad to see this restaurant open in town. The service was super friendly and the live music definitely lent a “positive vybe” to the place. I hope this place thrives.
Was excited to know that there was a new Jamaican spot in Princeton.Ordered the oxtails. The menu said that the meal would come with soup and salad. The hostess told me they were out of soup! Then the hostess told me that the salad only came with a dine-in only order. That is NOT cool! They didn't even offer a substitutionb since I paid the full.price and didn't get soup or salad!! The food was okay, but I have had better. I won't be back.
Delicious food! Servers and owner are friendly and i like the whole vibe of this place. Food carribean food in princeton or surrounding area is hard to find but i found it here!
