This local Dominican spot rivals some restaurants in Washington Heights, NYC (iykyk). The space is neat and clean, service is great and the food (all the plates) are certainly the star of the show. I wish they had another spot closer to me in NJ. I had rice, beans and Ox tail. All prepared and presented in traditional Dominican style (Yum!) I also had the Pernil which was so tender and tasty. My drink was Tamarind juice, which was my favorite drink. Will definitely come back and refer to others.

As a Latina, it pains me to leave a negative review for a Spanish restaurant, however the public has the right to be accurately informed. So, here’s the scoop: Myself and family decided to dine here for the first time on Father’s Day. I made a reservation in advance. When we arrived, I immediately noticed how it wasn’t needed. It’s not that kind of a restaurant to require one. No one paid attention to us when we walked in. We had to grab the attention of a server so that we could be seated. I have mixed reviews about the food. The empanadas, sancocho and pernil were decent but the potato salad tasted sour, the salmon was dry, hard, and flavorless, and we discovered a stray piece of Brillo in the food. In consideration of this experience and the high price point, we won’t be returning.

I’m honestly so upset. I came here because of all the amazing reviews and expected a great meal but it was a total letdown. The rice and beans were dry and had zero flavor. The chicken? Dry, bland, and just sad. For something that should be warm, seasoned, and comforting, it felt like no one cared how it tasted. I was seriously disappointed with every bite. And the tres leches cake? Don’t even get me started. It had a burnt taste, wasn’t moist at all, and the cream was so runny it looked like it melted hours ago. Tres leches is supposed to be soft, sweet, and rich this was the complete opposite. I’m frustrated because I really wanted to love this place, but this felt lazy and careless. I don’t know what everyone else experienced, but this was not it. Total waste of money and a big letdown.

The Food is really Good in fact the best Dominican restaurant I ever been. I Went with my family and we all loved what we got . The food was not over seasoned but either was tasteless it was just perfect. We try their empanadas too it was super delicious!! The only thing i will say is a little bit Cold the restaurant . But other than that amazing. Definitely will be coming back.

My only issue is that this is the second time I order baked chicken, and this is the second time I’ve gotten it pink.. no chicken should be pink. First time I ordered 2 orders of baked chicken. Both were pink. Today only one order, and this one was pink. I love the food and the place and the service but you gota be careful.
