The food was unpleasant, with the chicken bone appearing black and tasting old as if it had been refried. The waitress displayed a negative attitude throughout the experience. I wouldn't consider returning here. Edison Diner is far superior, though it's unfortunate they aren't open 24/7.

Actually the rudest waiters I have ever experienced in my life. 3 out of the 4 I have been there, there has been an issue with our food or with how rude the staff is. No concept of courtesy or pleasing the customer when there has been a misunderstanding. Will never be going there again. Save your money for any other diner. And if your going there because it’s the only 24 hour option to dine, just go to somerset ihop, it’s also 24 hours.

Beautifully decorated, the ambience was lovely. Servers were ever smiling and helpful and helped cater the food options to our taste and requirements. The second time I've been here and needless to say, it's a lovely place with great food and service. Recommend to go when you want a quick meal or are looking for multiple options in one place.

I arrived at the Somerset Diner at around midnight on Wednesday while it was pouring rain. I went in with a few of my peers and it was luckily not busy. Took a few minutes to get seated and the waitress kindly told us to take our time with ordering. We sat in a booth and the area was well lit and very clean with lots of lights. Notably they had this nice display of tubes of water, illuminated by several different LEDs which was unique to see. My friends and I split a calamari appetizer and I personally ordered there speciality fried chicken sandwich that came with a side of fries as it looked extremely appetizing for a good price at around $15. Overall, the whole trip was well worth it, decently priced and I plan on going back very soon.

I have been going to Somerset Diner for about 10 years now. It's everything you would expect in a diner. They have good burgers, breakfast all day, and a variety of cakes. Some particular standouts are custom omelettes, French Toast, and Red Velvet cakes.

We've never had a bad meal here. It's one of our stops when travelling thru NJ. It had been 10 years since I had their Three Little Pigs in a Blanket. I was barely able to finish it back then. I recently ordered it again and forgot how it was A LOT OF FOOD. Be prepared to take a nap after that meal. My wife had the Cheeseburger Deluxe with Peppers and Onions for breakfast, as she does not really like sweet things as breakfast items - except for a good danish! VIDEO:
