I gave an extra star because the staffing were very nice. But otherwise, not impressed by any means. The bacon was definitely not good because I took the sandwich out of the bag and it smelled like it was cooked, rotten meat (Which my fiancé said it didn’t taste right at all and ended up in the trash). The other sandwich I had was okay but the fact that you already charge $7.50 for a breakfast sandwich and then have the balls to charge for the bagel on top of that… that’s ridiculous. If my bagel spot hadn’t closed due to a fire, I would’ve been still going there. Wouldn’t recommend this spot at all. Way more expensive than most places and not getting quality.

Pops is go to spot for a lot of locals it’s a pretty small spot with no real seating inside so everyone just orders to go or in the warmer months you can sit outside . They serve up some great breakfast and lunch options and they are always hustling and bustling there in the mornings . I usually grab a typical breakfast sandwich but I decided go with the French Toast Egg Bomb ! Holly cow this thing was huge luckily enough I shared it with my husband . We also ordered a breakfast burrito. The young lady behind the counter was super friendly and it was my luck she was selling some crumb cake that she had made which was light and just the right amount of sweet . I just had to buy a few to take home 😋 . If you are looking for a decent lunch spot stop in and give “POPs” a try !

This place totally blew my expectations! I got the Philly cheesesteak and was kinda unsure at first since I’ve never had one with Cooper Sharp, but it was the best Philly I’ve ever had! The meat was super tender, the cheese melted perfectly, and the roll was fresh and soft. You can tell they really care about their food. The service was amazing too — everyone was super friendly and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The place was clean, good vibes all around. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

I came in and was welcomed by Pops. I asked for a recommendation and went with the Philly cheesesteak, and WOWW, every bite was amazing. The bread was pillow soft, the meat was flavorful, and it had just the right amount of cheese. The customer service was excellent too. I actually went back in right after eating just to tell him how good it was! I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my family and friends.

*TERRIBLE OWNER AND PRICES TO MATCH* A Turkey and cheese on a Kaiser roll is 15$…disgusting prices. The food here is not worth the price they charge. The owner yelled out to me, “it’s expensive everywhere” on my way out the establishment because I said “15$ for a roll, I’m good thanks” never going back and immediately left and got a burger, fries, chicken, nuggets and a drink for $4.73. Terrible

I decided to check out this place after seeing it on my way home from my new job here in Somerville. I ordered the Classic Cheese steak and fries with a Coke. Little bit more expensive than I would have hoped for. It was to come with thin sliced ribeye steak with peppers and onions with Cooper Sharp cheese. They didn't have any so I just said yellow American cheese was ok. Well I knew better. It always gives off a weird taste for me. Staff was absolutely amazing and made my 1st trip here a great experience. I'd like to come back again but just wish the price wasn't too high

A Classic Cheesesteak at Pop's Place in Somerville tops any you would find in Philadelphia. The portion size was enough for two people; the quality of the steak is superb and the peppers, onions and cheese, outstanding. The staff was friendly and patient. I highly recommend stopping in and getting one for yourself.

Hands down one of the best sandwich spots in Somerville. The ingredients are insanely fresh and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The cutlets are super fresh and cooked perfectly. The prices are absolutely justified for what you’re getting. It’s a real gem in town and I’m already planning my next visit. Highly recommend!

SERIOUSLY!!! Pops place is WHERE ITS AT!! I will forever stop when I travel to NJ! I randomly picked Pops place to eat 2 days ago and here I am coming back before heading back to PA! You walk in and they talk to you like they’ve known you for forever! The first day I ordered a “Build your own” with turkey and roast beef, LTO, Swiss and oil/vinegar… check the pics out! This wrap was MASSIVE and absolutely DELISH!! Now we are heading back home and we had to come back! My daughter ordered the Bronx Bomber on ciabatta (Massive) and this time I got the “Build your own” again same way just on a Hero.. seriously I don’t know how Pops place can get anything less than 5 stars!!!! Check the pics out and GO THERE!!! You WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!
