I made an online reservation dinner for 2 for Saturday requested to be seated on a booth . Upon arrival I was greeted by 2 hostess when i mentioned time and name whom the reservation is under, I over heard one of the hostess whispered that our table was given to another guest when I asked why, ( mind you we came on time.) I was told that wasn't the case and we should be seated shortly, 25 min passed by, we finally seated but not the both we requested. When I asked why not booth I was told booth and reservation is not guaranteed its first come first serve. Now im infuriated for what just I heard. This an high end class steakhouse restaurant to get a respond like that is unacceptable. They continued to tell me that im welcome to wait if i wanted a booth. Luckily the manager ( I'm assuming ) stepped in defused the situation and informed us we will be seated in the booth as we requested in about 5 minutes. The price the consumer pay for this type of stablishment, front desk / hostess should provide an exceptional serice and experience to each guest. Maybe the 2 hostess doesn't belong to work as a front liner. What a SHAME because this is our first visit to this restaurant and its not what i expected. On the flip side of it our server and our food are outstanding.

I've tried this location twice in the last 5 years. Each time I'm left extremely disappointed.I've had the following:Porterhouse for 2: under temp, between blue and rare although the sizzling plate continues to cook the meat while it rests a bit, large silver skin / sinew throughout the strip, very excessive butter. The steak should shine through and it struggled. Cook should also inspect each cut to determine the quality of any given pieceLobster bisque: no pieces of lobster in it, only a dusting.Jumbo lobster: large lobsters tend to be tough and this was no exception; would rather see a smaller one on the menu.German potatoes: solid, would recommend every timeBrussel sprouts: decent, would get againOnion rings: light fry, tasty.Overall I'm reminded each time I come here to just go to NYC instead. Nothing on the menu tastes horrible, but for $300 per couple there are better places to go.

The food was outstanding. HOWEVER, the prices online are NOT reflective of the actual menu. They need to update their online menu selections cost.

This review really is a 2 1/2. My husband and I love rib eye steak. We've been going to Wolfgang's for years ( and bringing our friends and family). We order the same Rib Eye steak every time. The steak is always, juicy tender and extremely tasty. Sadly, not this last week. Our med- rare steak was raw inside. We sent it back and the same steak came back exactly how we sent it away. The steak was not juicy, a bit chewy and certainly not as tasty as past visits. We mentioned it to the waiter and he shrugged his shoulders. Over time we weren't caring that they were raising the price- but for $89. this steak house has last its value to us as customers. Although we love the chopped salad- we will be finding a better quality steak house, that remains consistent and cares what customers think.

First time eating at the bar. Loved it. Jenn the barmaid did a great job. The dishes, different from the main dining room, were fabulous and copious. Thanks. Will be back.

If you’ve been to Somerville before you know it’s a town of charm and warmth. The restaurant is a great steakhouse that makes you feel sophisticated. The bar fills none of this. If an airport bar found its way to a small town this would be it. Pretentious without cause and a price tag that makes you reconsider your choice of Friday night haunts. There are so many other amazing choices in this town. Do yourself a favor and pick literally any other one.

Food and service were absolutely wonderful. Even on a Thursday evening, the dining room and bar filled up fast. You’d never know it based on the service though! So accommodating and attentive to detail. From appetizers to our entrees to dessert, everything was perfect. Felt very comfortable ordering as a gluten free guest with Celiac, also. Waiters were helpful and knowledgeable.

Way below expectations. One pays for good high quality food and amazing service at a high end over the top expensive steak house. Not here. The hostess was kind and beautifully dressed. All servers were older males it seemed. We got tap water never asked if we wanted a lemon slice and we had to ask for refills.Bread was mediocre at best.Ordered first round of drinks. Never asked if we wanted 2nd.I had the 3 1/2 lb lobster at a whooping 145. Maybe offer a smaller one 2 1/2 pounds for 100. I had to ask for a extra plate for the lobster shells as I devoured a well made lobster. Came with plenty of melted butter. Never offered a bib. Maybe this joint is too classy. Many many servers walked by Never offering to take the plate and bring a new empty one. The stack was high. I have gone to many places for lobster 1/3 the cost where they continuously change the plate. We also had filet mignon. it was for the wife. 16 oz? Maybe offer a woman's size 8 oz. It was cooked and tasted excellent. it was a Saturday night. closes st 11? we were done at 945 and felt rushed as no dessert menu. 0r coffee. got the check. 315. for 2. and there was a salad on it we never got. The place has Valet parking free. A life savior. It was a rainy night. Would return for food but not service. Left a $50 tip for a 280 meal and that tip deserved a better level of service. Somerville and the 10 mile area around has too many better destinations for dinner.

Service and ambience were great. Food was lacking. For the amount we spent, nothing really stood out as outstanding.

For the prices charged, I would expect impeccable service. Our water was not even refilled. The porterhouse was nowhere near what I have experienced at Roots in Summit at a similar price. I just don't get it, what people see as value at this restaurant. It was ok, just not spectacular. Me and my wife went for our anniversary and I told them when I made the reservation...nothing! Just high pricing and mediocre steaks and service. It wasn't even that busy so there was really no excuse.

Absolutely amazing!! Came here for my husband promotion and the staff put in so much effort to continually congratulate him!! Our server was amazing !! Very attentive, funny , never kept us waiting !! The steak & lamp chops were absolutely fantastic would definitely come back !
