Went after seeing great reviews. It's a little house on the corner of a residential area, so street parking mostly and kinda inconvenient. Ambiance is great and cozy. Service is friendly and prompt. Food is a bit expensive for a bar, but the quality is nice. Wings were great without sauces, perfectly fried and juicy. But, lemon pepper rub was too salty and garlic Parm barely has any taste. Double Dyme Tavern was a nice surprise on a Friday night in South Amboy,NJ. I like to discover new places near me and yesterday I went with my friend to grab a beer there. . The food that was coming out from the kitchen looked good, so we had to try ourselves. . This little bar is great for dinner, drinks with friends, taco Tuesday, drinks on the porch when the weather is nice or just a random drink after work. The place is beautiful inside, and the food is delicious. I have yet to meet a staff member who is rude, inattentive or unkind in anyway. We will definitely be coming back for a long time.
