This little bar is great for dinner, drinks with friends, taco Tuesday, drinks on the porch when the weather is nice or just a random drink after work. The place is beautiful inside, and the food is delicious. I have yet to meet a staff member who is rude, inattentive or unkind in anyway. We will definitely be coming back for a long time.

Went after seeing great reviews. It's a little house on the corner of a residential area, so street parking mostly and kinda inconvenient. Ambiance is great and cozy. Service is friendly and prompt. Food is a bit expensive for a bar, but the quality is nice. Wings were great without sauces, perfectly fried and juicy. But, lemon pepper rub was too salty and garlic Parm barely has any taste. Burger was a bit undercooked so I had to send it back the first time. 6 wings for $14, a burger and fries also for $16. Not ideal for frequent hangout.

One and done. Came for burgers on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Bartender pretty unfriendly. Medium burgers were practically raw. Not medium at all. Unflavorable and forgettable aside from being undercooked. Fries were banging. Glad we tried it but most likely won't be back. Edit: was sick all day and night after this meal. Double Dyme Tavern was a nice surprise on a Friday night in South Amboy,NJ. I like to discover new places near me and yesterday I went with my friend to grab a beer there. . The food that was coming out from the kitchen looked good, so we had to try ourselves. . We got an order of dry chicken wings and an empanada; they were both good (picture below) , the wings won though. . The bartender that got our order was friendly and helpful. She welcomed us to the tavern, introduced herself and told us the list of beer they had in the house, and she let us try between two beers before we choose. 100 for the service. . The place is cozy and cool. Young people come and go from there and it gave me the hint of " big family atmosphere " . Definitely well go back again!

I haven't even stepped foot inside yet, but I've heard the food is very good. I really don't know anything about the owner or the staff.That being said, people I do know were involved in 2 separate fights there, so in a very short time period, the place has gotten a bad reputation. This will not prevent me from going, nor should it prevent others since those were isolated incidents among people who knew each other. Best of luck to DD Tavern.I will update with my personal review after I have eaten there.

Always enjoyed the company here, as well as the menu items. So far, I've had the chicken sandwich and wraps and they were satiating. The bartenders here are fantastic and friendly as well. The atmosphere here is excellent as the crowd here is very broad which is great if you're seeking some cerebral stimulation but fair warning to keep quiet late at night while outside.
