“The service is great. The locals flock here. There are some characters who give this place its vibe. A talkative place. Large portions where you don't get away hungry. Eating "right" can be had, no fountain drinks. Great daily specials. Parking is a concern, not much around. The prices are really good and more than fair for what you get. Make to order sandwiches made the you like. The onion rings are top-notch. Kielbasa and kruat is available. a treat that is hard to find in these parts.”

“I don't know if Mayberry had an ice cream shop in the Andy Griffith show, but if it did it would be called Hi-Tams ice cream. And just like in Mayberry you would get some of the creamiest ice cream, that would be the center of the town's sweet tooth heart. That little walkway out front holds so many memories from generations upon generations of Somerset County residents. And if you get to peek your head inside the little window and see some of the décor on the walls, the old posters, the little television in the corner playing some TV show that nobody can watch because they're always so darn busy... “THE RESTAURANTThis place is a beautiful hidden gem right next to the canal river. It’s tucked away into a small south bound Brook town and just down the road you can park and walk the canal. Ovations boasts a parking lot with ample space. If it’s full, you can park along the street! I wouldn’t wear sweatpants here. Dress respectfully and you’ll be much better received. Don’t over do it, just don’t dress like you’re headed to Walmart at 9pm for that toilet paper you said you’d get after work ??THE FOOD: braised beef and risotto has always been solid. The flat breads are good as well if you’re interested in a lighter meal with a drink.THE DRINK: I’ll be honest, not a big drinker but the drinks I’ve had, give me a buzz. The serves are friendly so if you vibe well I’m sure you’d get some good drinks. That being said, alcohol is an extremely dangerous substance, it can lead you to choices that will change your life negatively forever.THE CANALBound Brook isn’t the safest area in the world, but the canal is on the SOUTH bound Brook side. So long as you’re smart and aware of your surroundings, you can confidently enjoy a walk!Parking: Ample private parking, and street parking is very convenient”

“The weather was nice today. Sun was out, the sunroof was open. Went for a drive with my niece and stopped in to Sweet Parlor Ice Cream Shop in Hilllsborough for some sweet treats. I had not been through Hillsborough in a while and decided to check out was was new in town to me. This place was great! They had some unique offerings that I took an interest in immediately. We decided to try the U-Be My Bae Sundae and the Sweet Tea Bubble Waffle Sundae. They looked great, and more importantly tasted even better! Not overly sweet and the different textures of crunch, creamy, and soft bites were all present and quite pleasant. I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. Thank you Sweet Parlor for tending to my craving!”

“We arrived early and were able to be seated. I made reservations for their new room, the “Cove” advertised as more intimate. Thinking quiet, perfect for date night. There were 2 large tables of 8 or more. Tables close together so noise level was at a high. Food was good. Lobster bisque, prawns, sea bass, pappardelle.”

“Oh man, this neighborhood really needed a cute little coffee shop! I went here with a couple of friends and we were immediately greeted by the exuberant owner. I wasn’t expecting much (because admittedly I’m a coffee snob) but I was blown away! The coffee was delicious! And the place was so much cuter than expected. “Fun little place. I expected the floral decor to be in the whole restaurant but it was centered in a specific area next to the bar. The tables had touch lighting that can change color depending on the mood. The hostess and wait staff had so much energy and smiles that were contagious. The menu items have an Asian flair especially since of the apps and fried rice (chaufa) offering. I got the pacha sour, which is a pisco sour with chicha morada and lomo saltado with tender steak pieces. Others got the arroz con mariscos that had prawns, squid and mussels. The lomo quesadillas were good too and the guacamole was good with it. The side of mashed potatoe was creamy and so buttery. For dessert, we got the flan and tres leches cake. Everything was delicious and is worth coming back to try other dishes.”

“This place serves the best hotpot I have every eaten. The chicken flavor in their popular pot has grrat taste. Service is excellent, the servers comes to you fast and food is served quickly too! They have been upgrading their restaurant by adding many more foods and even vending machines.”

“Finally, a Pakistani/Indian restaurant with food that isn't overshadowed with spices and oil. We visited Madina Fountain BBQ & Grill this evening and were all pleasantly surprised. All 10 of us thoroughly enjoyed the buffet which included fruit chaat, pakoras, chops, biryani, salaan, indo-chinese, haleem and many more dishes. Even my mom who doesn't ever enjoy eating out thought it tasted the closest to homemade that she's had at a restaurant in a very long time. Not a place for fine dining but if you enjoy good food, the rest is easy to overlook. Gracious owners, good service and amazing food! For $25 it's a steal!”

They get 5 Stars all around from me. Went there on a couples dates and everyone was satisfied with the service and food . Wouldn't hesitate to go back there. Also Moscato is the only wine I drink , most steakhouses don't even carry it but that did and it was so good.”
