“Wanted to try a new place and went here with a friend. We were initially skeptical due to its small exterior. Our doubts were quickly dispelled though by the warm greeting of the host and our attentive waitress, who enthusiastically answered questions, and even brought tasty samples to the table. With timely coffee refills & the relaxed atmosphere this became one of the coziest, best service experiences in recent memory. Will definitely return.“

“This coffee shop is fantastic. The salmon toast and the Belgian avocado egg and cheese were incredibly flavorful, showcasing the freshness of their ingredients. The standout, however, was the coffee, particularly the original French Toast Latte, a must-try. Despite the chilly weather today, the indoor seating area was bustling, but luckily, the friendly and attentive staff made sure everyone felt welcome and well taken care of. Plus, the convenience of credit card acceptance adds to the overall positive experience.“

“We don’t live in NY so I had these shipped for a 40th birthday party. Box 1came in 2 days. One of the boxes was late and being held up so sugar wood called me to let me know and sent another box that arrived in 2 days for the inconvenience. Great customer service. “There's so many amazing things to say about this place right off the bat! The first thing I'm going to say is the atmosphere you walk in and you feel the family and friendly love. The second thing you see is the creativity in the food and the smell just coming from the kitchen. I got to say the food is amazing. The customer service is terrific. The creativity in the food. “Despite its higher prices, I find myself coming back to this cafe. Why? TL;DR The quality, service, and ambiance are what sells me. The menu has a huge variety of drinks (coffee, hot chocolate, teas, refreshers, frappes, smoothies, cold brews, etc.). Drinks are strong and full of flavor. Nothing is watered down or overly sweet or bitter. -cold brew with sweet cream (chocolate and vanilla) - They make their sweet cream fresh on the spot and it tastes delicious! One of the best I've had. The only thing is that some baristas put way too much ice. 4/5 -hot honey rose latte - Wow, this drink surprised me! I tried it on a whim and enjoyed it. It has a light floral taste that pairs well espresso. 4/5 -oreo frappe - YUM! 5/5 -iced mocha - I would like it to be sweeter (I have a big sweet tooth). The espresso overpowered the chocolate. 3.5/5 -hot dulce de leche latte - A little disappointed with this ONLY because I didn't taste much of the dulce de leche :( It just tasted like a regular latte. 3/5 Their espresso is STRONG so if you want more sweetness ask for more pumps of flavor or milk. Onto the food...I've tried a couple of items and I would say that the prices are high for the portion size. I love that they make their food fresh but I'm not sure if I can justify the prices. Some items are worth it and some aren't. -fig open toast $10 - Mhmm this was yummy. The toast was crispy. The ricotta cheese was fluffy and paired well with the figs. The balsamic vinegar dressing drizzled on top was *chef's kiss* 5/5 -buffalo smash sandwich $10.50 - I have ordered this twice. The first time tasted better than the second time. 3.5/5 -the BP wake up breakfast sandwich w/ bacon, egg, cheese, hash brown $8.25 - The sandwich was good but it was nothing special. It's pretty small and I finished it quickly... This was around $8 and I don't think it's worth that price. 3/5 -stuffleufugus (stuffed waffle with eggs, sausage, cheese, and bacon) $10.25 - The waffle was fluffy and crispy but everything else just didn't hit for me... It was mostly egg and sausage inside. Not much bacon (which is my favorite) and cheese. I would try a more sweeter/dessert waffle next time. 3/5 -chavocado sandwich - Mehhhh. Average and not very flavorful. There was barely any chicken, bacon, or avocado... 2/5 BUT THE SERVICE? Amazing service here! The owner is very sweet and friendly. She seems to have a lot of regulars and is very personable. Staff is willing to accommodate and fix orders if it's not to your liking. They bring your order to your table if you dine in. If you order during peak rush hours (especially food), you might have to wait a bit longer (10-15 minutes) since everything is freshly made. If you want to avoid any wait times I recommend ordering online for pickup. Now for the ambiance... The cafe is brightly lit and spacious, but there isn't too much seating available. They have free wifi so you can study or work here, but it can get VERY loud and crowded. They have an open kitchen so you can hear the machines when they're making drinks. There is a "kiddie section" for younger children to play with toys. They play loud music BUT it is GREAT music. One morning they were playing some of my favorite salsa songs and another day they had on throwbacks from the early 2000s. It put me in such a good mood and made me wanna dance lol. I see this as more of a place to socialize with family and friends. BRING HEADPHONES/EARPHONES if you want to study or read. Overall this is definitely a place to check out! The biggest con is that the prices are on the higher end. Most of their drinks start at a minimum of $5 for the smallest size (12 oz) and can go up to almost $7 for the largest size (20 oz) before tax and tip. Their food ranges from $6-$13 and while I don't think the price justifies the portion sizes, you can be the judge! Sign up for their rewards program for discounts and freebies!“

“Saw this place called Mr.Waffles. Looked appetizing so I checked it out. Omg freaking amazing. Have to check out their full menu of waffles & juices. I ordered the Waffles 4 in 1 Pistachio Nutella, white chocolate, kinder bueno, fruit as you can see from the photo looked & tasted amazing!!!!“

“Y'all, I'm obsessed!!! I love mangos as a fruit in general and so to find a place that specializes in mango desserts made my day! They have literally so many options, from ice cream, smoothies, pastries, to cakes. I ended up getting the A4 dessert (mango juice with rice ball and mango ice cream), which was heavenly! The rice balls added a nice chewiness and the fresh mango pieces were delicious. I ended up spending a couple hours reading inside the restaurant, which was a nice and clean environment.“

“Hidden gem cafe near NYU! I came here on a sunday afternoon to get some work done and it was packed! I was luckily able to get a table as they have plenty of tables both indoor and in an outdoor patio area. They have a pretty unique drink menu and I got the taro latte. I thought it was going to be an espresso drink but it turned out to be cold brew with taro on top. It was pretty good but I'm just not the biggest fan of cold brew. Would come back to try other drinks though!“

The lady who made the crepe was very sweet, smiled the whole time, made me feel extremely welcome, and even recognized my boyfriend when we walked in- I love a place that learns it’s customers and this is definitely one of those spots. “Great options in mango desserts just like the previous store mango mango. I loved the mango sundae. The mango crepe cake was out of stock seems like it is still the most popular here. The matcha crepe cake was a true matcha flavored cake. It has an actual bitter taste. I would recommend this place to try there mango options.“
