Seemed OK at first. Waitress was in training so I asked her if the Gyros were good and described that the meat should be tender, not dry or overcooked? She left the table and ask the cook. When she came back she gave me all the right answers. When my plate came out thank goodness it had tons of lettuce so I had trouble locating the meat and when I did I picked it out and it was the opposite of what I had described to her with an extra bonus of some blackened meat. Tzatziki was mainly the yogurt ( no seasoning). When I got too the register I noticed my ice tea was $5.30 and my friend's fish sandwich was 3 dollars more than noted in the menu. The sign over the counter announced that prices were subject to change according to inflation. I asked if they were Greek owned? To my shock they said yes. I told them Greek restaurants would be ashamed of them!!!

Can't believe how stupid they think people are. Ordered a dish from the stack of paper menus in front. Listed price was $10.99 I believe. Price on register was over$13.Asked the girl why and ridiculous comeback was "new menus with prices are on order."I told her to throw out the old menus if not honoring the listed pricesThen I walked out and ate elsewhere

Food was great. Customer service not so great. Walked in & felt like I was back in the 1900s & I didn't belong with the stairs I was given. I wasn't acknowledged by anyone, until the cook told the girl to give me a menu. I was ready to walk out but stayed & ordered. Then when my food was done, it sat there & once again the cook had to let them know it was done even though the woman at the register saw that it was done. Not sure if that's procedure but what really pissed me off, is when I went to pay for my food, I handed the woman my cash in her hand & I had my hand out for my change & she put it on the counter instead of my hand & gave me a smirk. It was as if she didn't want to touch my black hand. I almost said something but my fiance just said it's not worth it. So I just left. So sad because the food was good but the service was racist.

I really enjoy this place. I've been with friends a few times and the food has always been pretty good for the price. Highly recommended for those who need decent food for cheap.Parking: South Orange can be extremely busy, especially during rush hour. There aren't really an free parking lots near the restaurant. But then again, I don't know how much the parking price is enforced.

I didn’t get a chance to order before I walked out of the establishment due to a lack of being served for 20 minutes. It was not busy at all. I purchased a coffee, and they gave it to me in a to go cup when I told them I was dining in.

Ordered a Pastrami Panini with Fries and was pleasantly surprised. Panini was on point, not dry and pastrami was savory. Like, very tasty. South Orange has its okay places but this spot keeps its authenticity. I have yet to try their hot dogs. I could have taken a picture of the sandwich but I ate it all before I had a chance. This little dinner is really good, had the gyro omelette. The staff is very friendly and a lot to choose from on the menu. Will definitely be back. Out of towners can park in the garage across Vose Ave, there are free 2hr spaces. Pay attention to the signs.

I just wanted to leave a positive review this diner is impeccable the food is on point they follow the directions the driver is so nice The staff is so nice I recommend this to anybody who loves diner food and not just regular diner food I order everything from grilled cheese to Italian hot dogs to hot open turkey to breakfast I mean you can't beat it tens across the board honestly My name is John c from West Orange and I will continue to order from them as long as they're open God bless you all
