Amazing food. I had the doro tibs (chicken). For one of my sides, I had chickpea dumplings. They were amazing!!! So different and everything was the perfect amount of spice. If you like your food mild, definitely let them know, because they don't hold back. I personally enjoyed it! Definitely an underrated spot in SO. The inside is cute as well.
I love this family owned business. I love the ambiance and overall service. They may be slow because of small staffing but the food and the experience is beyond belief. I love this place! P.S. they have the best sambusas! Perfect place for vegan plus they now serve vegan desserts.
I love the food here. I've lived around here for 15 years and for vegan or vegetarian diners this place is supreme. To me every dish has been terrific and most friends and family members love it as well. The dishes are exotically spiced, not for people on a bland diet. Lalibela Ethiopia Restaurant is on par with the other good Ethiopian places in Montclair and New Brunswick. If Meklit had a bigger place it would be packed every weekend.
