If you don't want to be disrespected, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. The last thing anyone should experience is walking in just to face blatant discrimination. Don't be shocked when you see it for yourself-multiple reviews all say the same thing: this place treats Black people horribly. The woman at the front desk radiates so much hatred you can literally see it in her eyes. It's disgusting and heartbreaking. Save yourself the frustration. Spend your money where you're actually valued.

If you're a person of color, I strongly advise you to take your money elsewhere. I Walked and asked about the menu and the worker completely ignored me while on her phone. I had to find the menu myself which wasn’t an issue for me at first. As I was reading it, she rushed over and snapped, "WHAT DO YOU WANT??" asked for chicken fried rice with wings, but she screamed, "WHAT KIND OF RICE?? WE HAVE BEEF FRIED RICE, CHICKEN FRIED RICE (and continued to yell out the types of rice they offer) -WHAT DO YOU WANT??" while BANGING on the counter. Keep in mind that I told her I wanted CHICKEN fried rice. I was so disturbed by her hostility that I walked out without ordering.

The way she spoke to me was degrading, and I couldn't help but wonder if her behavior was racially motivated. Would she have treated a white customer the same way-yelling and slamming her hand on the counter? It's sad to see businesses that rely heavily on Black customers treat people of color with such blatant disrespect.

Do not buy from this place. They don’t deserve your hard earned money.

Update: After I left my review, I started reading others and noticed a disturbing pattern-multiple people have called out this place for being racist toward Black customers. It's not just one or two complaints; it's a recurring issue. The owner or staff keep responding to these reviews denying any racism, but when so many people are sharing the same experience, it speaks volumes. This behavior is unacceptable.

So I’ve been patronizing this restaurant for years I always order their shrimp lo mein which I find to be really good. However, every time I order my meal, I always ask for 4 to 5 dollars extra shrimp And I’ve started to notice that I’m not getting extra shrimp so today when I called to order shrimp lo mein I asked them for five dollars extra shrimp and to put that extra shrimp in a separate container so I see the difference between a regular order of shrimp, lo mein and an order of shrimp lo mein with five dollars worth of extra shrimp. The lady on the phone told me they can’t put the extra shrimp on the side, but they can sell me fried baby shrimp for six dollars I told her I did not want the fried baby shrimp. I wanted my extra shrimp on the side because I have been feeling like they have been robbing me when the Owner realized it was a frequent Customer on the phone she backpedaled But at this point, I was thoroughly disgusted because the initial NO LET ME KNOW THAT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ADDING THE EXTRA SHRIMP TO MY LO MEIN, WHICH MEANS THEY HAVE BEEN STEALING MONEY FROM ME. I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR YEARS. NOT ANYMORE

BUYER BEWARE: RACIST/ DISCRIMINATORY OWNERSI’ve frequented this restaurant often, and my issue is usually the same: the waiting staff, particularly the older and younger women, are insulting. I usually look passed it but it has become increasingly worse. Today the older women yelled in my face. I declined to purchase the food after that and I do not believe I will be patronizing this establishment any longer. They do not uphold the ethos of the town in which we live. Hopefully they will take this critique and practice better customer service.Update:I want to add that when looking at the reviews from customers it seemed to be Black customers who have vocalized concerns of an extremely rude waiting staff. This is very concerning as it produces the question of discrimination due to racist. Again their behaviors especially if racist does not fit the ethos of South Orange. I will not be patronizing this establishment. However I would like to add that the young man that works there is very kind and helpful.

Pretty decent, not the best food I've had at a Chinese restaurant but decent if you're looking for a quick bite. We ordered the chicken wings and fries and 3 egg rolls . For some reason all the egg rolls tasted burnt . I have no idea why maybe something like the veggies cooked for too long but definitely a burnt flavor after taste. The chicken wings and fries were good no complaints there . The scenery around the area is nice . You can sit outside across the street at a little amphitheater style area with nice wall art ??.

Where do I begin? If I could rate this place a zero, I would. The prices are inconsistent. My coworker ordered the same thing on the same day and he was charged more money one time. They have $15 minimum in order to use a card payment. The women running the restaurant is extremely rude, disrespectful, and racist. She’s rude to black customers.Today I went there to order and I was dreading it because it’s always an unpleasant experience. I should’ve known better, the only reason I went is because The New Great Wall is closed on Mondays. Which is another Chinese take out which is walking distance from them. They provide better customer service and the food is better. I was ordering some food and I didn’t understand the question the owner asked me and I had her repeat herself. She got so frustrated, she slammed her fist on the makeshift counter they made due to Covid. I was shocked at how comfortable she was displaying her anger towards me. I cancelled my order and I knew I would never return, it was the last straw. On top of everything the food is trash from past experience. They don’t deserve to be in business with the quality of customer service and food they provide. They definitely lost me as customer. They need to understand there’s too much competition for them with their lack luster food and disrespectful personnel, good luck and good riddance.
