After coming home from work and stopping by in person at this establishment I decided to order the chicken platter with maduros and rice & beans expecting an actual plated entrée, but what I received was a loosely mixed combination of shredded chicken, rice, and vegetables that felt more like a basic homemade scramble than a thoughtfully prepared dish. The presentation and portion were very underwhelming, especially considering how appealing the menu description sounded.
Unfortunately, the meal did not reflect the quality I anticipated. I left feeling disappointed and misled by the way the dish was described. There are many authentic Latin restaurants that truly deliver on flavor, presentation, and value in places like Jersey City and this experience did not meet that standard. Just simply a restaurant trying to make a quick buck from local residents and just about anyone that’s in South Orange.
I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration, because South Orange deserves way better than this.

The food is really good. Nothing I’ve tried has ever been bad, and everything is always fresh. Seating is in an outdoorish tented area, but it’s kept warm and comfortable, which makes dining in very enjoyable. Highly recommend

i have been going here since they open and the portions get smaller and smaller. i used to order combo fajitas that is usually enough for 2 people. i even called before i ordered for the last time to say my portion was small prior.. not only was my order wrong on the rude manager gage excuses but offered no solution. for 30$ i received 4 shrimp and 4 pieces of steak. horrible portions and even more horrible service i will never ever go there again ever and i will tell everyone to boycott this rip off.. 30$ for 4 shrimp ajd 4 pueces of steak and a huge pile of peppers and onions.. terrible dont go there..

Carlos at Miti Miti was great! We stopped there on our way to a Seton Hall Women’s Basketball game and received wonderful service and all our food was delicious. Our family had a great time playing Jenga and giant Uno while waiting for our food. Amazing experience, highly recommend!

When you walk in, you’re greeted by a cozy hut with beautiful natural lighting that gives the place an amazing atmosphere while you eat. The food is outstanding—I ordered the birria tacos, and they were genuinely incredible. Our server, Ariela, was hilarious and extremely dependable, which truly elevated the experience. She gave great recommendations and made the ordering process effortless.

Ariela at Miti Miti is absolutely amazing! This place is super pet-friendly, and they even gave my girl a little side of rice 🩷 — such a thoughtful touch. The food is always incredible. I always love the maduros here, and you can’t go wrong with their bowls, empanadas, or tacos. Consistently great food, great vibes, and great people. Highly recommend!!!
