I have celiac and this restaurant is a place where I feel I can safely eat delicious food every time! The owner is very well versed in celiac and knowledgeable about cross contamination. Also the food is so good!! I recently ordered GF chicken parm and chicken franchise (which I don't frequently get to eat out) trays for catering and they came out so good! Highly recommend for anyone and especially if you have celiac and are craving delicious Italian food.
This review is based on a veal parmigiana 12” sub. The veal is very tender to where the bite will be in your mouth before your upper and lower teeth meet each other. Copious amount of cheese. I cannot comment on their marinara sauce, as I opted to have vodka sauce instead. I don’t regret that decision. The gentlemen behind the counter were very courteous, polite and easy to talk to. I enjoyed a conversation while waiting on the veal to be made. I cannot say everything else...
I must tell you that if you want good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and just a great dining experience, you must go to Carmen's Trattoria on Oak Road in South Plainfield, New Jersey. This is my new dining place to be
