Google review should have an option of choosing negative star. The only reason I had to choose "a" star because there's no option. Absolutely the WORST restaurant I have ever been....lots of reviews in here about "Discrimination" - that's a SPOT ON. If you are not Korean, do not even bother going there wasting your money.RUDE behavior of the waitress, threw food on the table, substandard food quality - what else I would add. DO NOT GO!!!!

This place is the best Korean BBQ in central NJ. The banchan is excellent with different types of kimchi and veggies. The BBQ is the star of the show. Our favorite is the kalbi but we haven’t strayed outside of beef. Their other dishes are solid as well. My daughter loves the rice cake and dumpling soup. The tofu stews hit the spot in the winter time. Just keep in mind that it gets smoky inside so don’t be surprised when you go home smelling like BBQ.

This is the worst service attitude restaurant I've ever been to. There's no greeter at the entrance, no one pours water after entering, they just throw the menu on the table. The food is also terrible, so bad that even the dead person next to you wouldn't notice. They don't even refill your water. Waiters sing and stroll around without providing service. A tiny portion of noodles costs $20 and is sickeningly sweet, leaving you unsatisfied. If you have normal taste buds and a sane mind, choose another restaurant. When tipping, the waiters stare at you closely, and if you tip less, they'll call you back. My advice: run fast. You won't find another restaurant as terrible as this one.

If you are not a Korean, please spend your money somewhere else! Me and my family were there this weekend and we felt we were discriminated by the way the waitress served us. We ordered BBQ, no one came and helped us with the BBQ or gave us any of the spicy seasoned green onion, later on the table across from our table who were apparently “Korean” got served with the spicy seasoned green onion and the waitress helped them with BBQ. The waitress was rude and it was not even busy. Poor service as soon as we sat down, ok food, and man that discrimination is real; We are never ever coming back and good luck on finding only Korean customers or perhaps should post a sign on the door with “Koreans Only”.

Food quality standard is so low in the central nj area that places like kimchihana is considered good. Pretty sad, wouldnt recommend.

Goto restaurant when I am in the area. It is one of the oldest Korean restaurants in the area. Very popular among Korean-Americans.

Been here a couple of times. Some dishes were ok, some not. Service was bad, I had to get my water myself, no checking in from a waitress at all - unless you are Korean.Saw a totally different treatment for Korean families where banchans refilled, etc.The terrible experience was when the food they brought was so bad that I said it seemed not fresh, to which a waitress yelled nobody had ever complained before! When I was leaving I left 12% tip and the owner took away my card and harassed me to tip MINIMUM 20%....are you seriously doing this to customers who tipped what they thought was sufficient to the service they got?!I should have given 0% tip for not fresh food, which I didn't even eat and left it there almost untouched...The front man/ owner threatened he would remember me. Please do, how you were harassing people and taking away their credit cards were absolutely ridiculous. Please avoid this place at any cost. So many other decent Korean places around....

Food and service was not good. And forced a higher tip when tried to give a tip reflecting the service we got. Not recommended!

TLDR: Ok place to try out, but if you don’t go you’re not missing much.Overall I would say that this restaurant is average. I came here with my family and we ordered a variety of dishes (jop chae, bibimbop, etc.). The food didn’t blow us out of the water nor was it bad in any way shape or form. Although the prices were far higher than comparable Korean restaurants we’ve been to. Not sure why they charge so much considering their food is adequate at best.Service was decent and the waiters were mostly pleasant. I would say if you’re used to American-style service you’ll probably be in for a little shock. The waiters don’t hover around you constantly checking in, which is good in that they aren’t trying to rush you out. However, when it’s time to go you’ll likely have to grab their attention to get the check. The restaurant is very clean and a decent size. Nice place to try out but likely will not be back anytime soon.
