It's SPICE CULTURE NOW...

Dhananjay Mane

This review is for spice culture. Apparently there was a restaurant called nanking here before. This had opened shop one week ago. I was here twice. During the first time I ordered schezuan fried rice for take out. I loved it and went back for a weekend buffet. I tried everything on the buffet menu. The food is amazing. I would even say this is the best indo chinese / mughlai restaurant around. The next time you want to try Indian food give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Nanking has been renamed as Spice Culture. Keeping the same quality and taste of food. Interior layout, even the cutlery is kept same as before. First time experienced the buffet. It was within the reasonable price range with variety of food. Little bit concerned about serving quality. The glass of water had some questionable sticky substance on it and had to ask twice to change the bill as additional stuff was added. Overall nice food quality with little bit shaky service.

The food seems like leftover. It gave me a funny feeling in my stomach. But maybe it was just a bad day. Still, you get better quality at Ming or Bamboo Garden. Skip this and you won't miss anything.

Recently been there to meet my long term friend and his family, found out they started weekend lunch buffets now. It was a good spread, indian, indochinese, Thai food varieties. Chats, good varieties of chutney, salads, fruits and desserts. Worth the price. The service was very good, the manager ( I think so) was very kind and out did himself. Four stars because, I felt the Hakka noodles was not that tastier as normally you get it ordered. May be buffet bulk cooking....

They have improved a lot on the Quality of food. They added several items in the Menu and the taste is amazing. Lamb dishes , Drums of heaven, Thai Ice Tea are my favorite here. Good place for a afternoon lunch. Their evening/weekend prices are on a higher side which makes us to thinks to go with Family . Hope they can have a bit lower prices over the dinner and weekend.

The worst experience I ever had in my 6 years of NJ restaurants. This is the fist time I visited the place to try something new. The hospitality was very bad. I would definitely like to take name of Mr Pradnesh who took our order. First of all due to their mash up they ended up with small changes in our order and he tried to blame us. Forget about hospitality he was looking us like we are eating for free. We asked 2 times to bring rice, he got it after 20 minutes of order by the time we were done, and he told he cannot take back a 2 dollar rice.

Nice ambience and loved the food (Except some dishes), the concept was good for lunch where they provide a nice variety of food in almost 11-12 USD, which include one soup, one Vegetable or curry, one bowl rice and breads. Meal can be veg or non veg doesn't make much difference.

The price is okay for the quantity and the quality but I feel like it's not the same stuff anymore. I came here last year and the food was so good that for the next 2 days of my stay I came back to try more items on the menu and planned that next time I visit new jersey I will definitely eat at this place. Coming back to this place today was not the same experience, the food was not the same and more than half of the stuff I ordered was wasted as I didn't enjoy the flavor and the taste. It saddens me that I had to remove this restaurant off my list as my wife loves Chinese and Thai food and now I will have to hunt for a new spot. I would still give them one more chance at a time when it's not rush hour like this visit which was during lunch hours.

A nice Indian Chinese restaurant. Good collection of veg and non-veg dishes. Most of the curry dishes go well with rice. The Indian curry dishes go well with bread (naan). On a Tuesday evening, this restaurant was kind of quite and cozy, to the likes of us. Weekends may be a bit busy. Overall a decent experience.

This restaurant has been around in this plaza for a long time. Growing up, every restaurant that came in that location would close down. This has survived, and is a testament to their excellent food. Food is absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, and flavorful. Interior is gorgeous as well. My only complaint is that it is pricey, and their banquet hall prices are ridiculous as well. Service is very good for a southeast asian restaurant. We come here often, and food is always consistent. They have so many options to choose from as well. They have an excellent lunch buffet and price is very reasonable. Best indo-chinese food in the area.
