“Been there a few times now. Love this place- authentic Thai food with Thai hospitality! First time we ordered chicken satay, fried fish with sweet chili sauce and mango sticky rice. My favorite is chicken satay - aromatic turmeric chicken with delicious spicy peanut sauce!!! Second time we had spring roll and asked for spicy seafood salad ( not on the menu I believe) . Third time - they have a new chef, so we tried larb moo and som tum - typical northeastern dishes in Thailand. Absolutely love love it! Will be back soon. Happy with new chef and love the friendly owner!!”

I found this local, friendly, establishment to be just the kind of place we were looking for, and the food was terrific. Maybe not the kind of place you would impress a young lady on a first date, but certainly the kind of place where you could hang with the guys, talk shop, or just unwind. “I read through some of the comments and they were about MY grandma, the owner of the restaurant. Someone said that she was a he. And another said she was from somewhere she was not from! She is from MEXICO. People just make me mad sometimes when do stuff like that. If you do not know the gender of someone you don't even know just say 'they' that easy. But after all great food.”

It’s a small place, with tables. A surprisingly large menu, with lots of choices. Gabriela took our order, which was made on the spot and well packaged for the trip home.

What really stood out during my visit was the service. Wael, the gentleman working the front counter, was exceptionally polite, attentive, and patient. His attention to detail and willingness to listen closely to my order, especially as someone who likes to customize their breakfast sandwiches, this was refreshing. In many bagel spots, staff can seem rushed or distracted, but Wael made the experience easy.

Whether you're a classic bacon-egg-and-cheese kind of person or someone who likes to get a little creative with your sandwich, Bagel 1 delivers quality without the chaos. The spot is low-key, but the flavor is next level.
