I got the chicken fried rice and the peas tasted frozen and undercooked! I also had the shrimp egg roll…didn’t taste all that great either. When my general tao’s chicken came it look and tasted good but there’s a weird sandy feeling in my mouth. Not the best☹️

Food, service, and price were great! Located on Springfield Ave in Springfield, so view is of traffic, which is no big deal. Bathroom in basement, none on first floor. Steps up into front door entrance. I'm not sure if there is an alternate disabled entry.

Wheelchair accessibility: Steps up to entrance and steps downstairs to basement level bathroom. I'm not sure if there are wheelchair accessible entrances.

This restaurant has apparently been in business for 40 years and I have never eaten there before but had a wonderful experience recently dining there with my wife
The menu is extensive and the servings are really really huge and really not terribly expensive for the quality and the amount of food that you get
If you really enjoy Chinese food I really suggest that you give this restaurant a visit
I had duck in Orange sauce which was excellent combined with the house special fried rice which was enormous and absolutely delicious
My wife had a Seabass dish which was absolutely fantastic

Parking: Huge parking lot right next to the restaurant

Kid-friendliness: Absolutely a place that you can take your children without any concern

Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately the restaurant has two entrances both which have stairs and the bathrooms are down a very steep flight of stairs I was unable to determine if they had a bathroom which was accessible on the floor with a dining area

God where do I start….
Food has decent flavor, but there’s always something off with the temperature, texture, etc
Ex. Wonton soup, taste great but wonton was cold and oddly hard
Beef udon noodles, very flavorful, but the noodle was uber oily and the beef was the same texture as the noodle…gummy
The ribs were half burnt
The ice cream was freezer burnt
The chicken wings were not even full wings, they give you two but break it into pieces to make it look like more and they over cooked it.
They cheap out on WATEERRR, and give you such a little amount in this fancy-ish small cup and they don’t keep up with refills.
The cups had lip stains on it and the silverware was generally dirty
Gave us 3 packets of hot sauce after asking for it multiple times and told us its the last 3 in the whole restaurant so we’re lucky…
The service was the worse part, but I would need a whole other review to really encompass that experience. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

A tremendous Chinese place with some of the best dumplings around. I've been going here since I was a kid and the quality has only improved over time.

The best Chinese food we've had in the area. My wife and I were interested in checking out Hunan Spring because it looked so nostalgic for us on the outside - exactly the kind of restaurant that we would go for special occasions as kids. We stopped by - with our kids! - and were really blown away by the food and service. We have only had the most classic Chinese-American dishes here so far but everything has been delicious. Since then, Hunan Spring has become our go-to for takeout and a regular destination for dining in.

This restaurant is not what the name suggests - it has nothing related to “HuNan” style cuisine, which is similar to Szechuan spicy food. Most of the dish on the menu is Cantonese style, tastes like reformed Chinese American food (such as General Tso Chicken, which only exists in US). If you like Panda Express, you will probably like this place. But I wouldn’t call it authentic Chinese food, not even close.

I have been going to this restaurant for 30 years. The food is consistently good but the service and ambiance isn’t great anymore. Usually only one harried waiter who is not personable at all. The people at the front desk are brusque and not particularly helpful. Thrrr is often a group if employees at the front talking loudly. I keep going because the food is good , but the experience is far from fine dining. Hope this changes

Tried to call to do a pick up order and the lady who answered the phone wouldn’t take our order over the phone and kept asking if we were sure we called the right location. She told us to go inside and order because she still didn’t believe we called the right restaurant? Obviously we know what location we called, we were outside the restaurant ready to pick up.

We have ordered before and the food is delicious but it’s sad that the person answering the phone is rude.
