I just ordered a lunch special, Hunan Beef. As I started to dig into the dish, the beef was extremely chewy and tasted like fish. I don't know what meat they used but it is disgusting! How can you screw up a simple beef dish with vegetables? I've tried Royal Wok one other time since they took over the location and name and boy do I miss the old owners. I would've given them NO stars, unfortunately you can't. Learned my lesson, I'll never order from here again! To sum up this establishment... revolting !!

Horrendous. This place used to be so well-run, the staff friendly, the food delicious. After the pandemic, a new owner took over and they are surly, unfriendly, and the food is terrible. The beef is gelatinous and funny tasting, and the chicken is the same way. A few days ago, I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and egg drop soup. I might as well have ordered hot water — it was so liquidy and had zero flavor - like someone took tap water, threw in some frozen shrimp, and called it shrimp with lobster sauce. Actually, my tap water had more flavor. Not even kidding.
I suspect their food is not cooked fresh every day and they don’t buy freshest meat. In spite of this, I wouldn’t have even written this bad review because it’s not my style. But the deciding factor is their rudeness. The folks behind the counter are completely absent of charm or civility. No “thank you” when they give you their poorly cooked food, no “hello” when you come in. I’ll take my money elsewhere, and would do so even if they had good food, like the former owners.
