As a native New Yorker who’s used to Mr. Softee trucks passing around town, Scream Truck’s reservation-only concept was a little hard to wrap our heads around. When we first moved here, it was a bummer when our neighbors were getting ice cream and we could not because we hadn’t preordered. After that experience, we familiarized ourselves with the process, got signed up and have tried it a few times. Pretty good ice cream (but can get pretty expensive depending on your toppings), love that they do a seasonal shift and offer hot cocoa in the winter. I decided to order some tonight and while it is delicious, the delivery process was not so smooth. The truck was running late and when they finally arrived, they pulled up to my neighbor’s house instead of mine. They drove up very close to the curb, leaving barely any room for me to walk without risking slipping on the tiny slither of ice beneath me and a pile along the curb. It was to the point where I was standing with my body pressed up against the side of the truck- barely could see up into the window. I was worried I was going to slip and get dragged by the truck when it drove away. I would definitely recommend drivers to be more cautious about where they’re parking in these conditions so customers can retrieve their orders safely. There was open space in front of my driveway/walkway had they pulled up to the right home.

Absolutely AMAZING experience with Scream Truck! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The truck was adorable, the ice cream selection was a huge hit with the kids (and adults!), and the staff was so friendly, patient, and professional. They kept the line moving smoothly and made every kid feel special. It was the highlight of the party and such a fun, stress-free addition. I’ve been signed up for the route in Wayne NJ for about a year, and Eddie has always been nothing short of fantastic. I just had a private party booked with him and everything was super smooth. The booking process was easy and when Eddie arrived with the truck, he was pleasant, patient, and made sure everybody got ice cream before heading out. I can’t recommend the scream truck enough and if you can, get Eddie- he’s the best!

We ordered twice. The first time was ok, we walked out excited to hear the music and seemed really fun, the staff was not happy at all. So, we tried second time, they had our order wrong (not a big deal) but, the girl on the truck was not apologetic not happy that we even ordered. Once she found our order, she was scolding the male on the truck. Both times staff was very miserable. We will never order again from them it is not worth it.

SCREAM Truck is a Slam Dunk 5. If you are looking for the perfect way to memorialize your party, look no further. I know my guests are going to be talking about this for a LONG time. ST2 was awesome. They couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating and this was probably the cleanest food service vehicle I’ve ever seen. Having them is a no brainer. Enjoy.

They made the whole visit feel special, and everyone was so happy with the service and the delicious treats. Frustrating we were not given 15 minutes advanced notice,(as told) especially when they arrived 15 minutes before our actual 1 hour delivery window started . Ice cream was all melted when given to us, even though we ran out as soon as they arrived….. don’t prepare the ice cream en route, especially when you’re significantly early. I’m paying a huge premium for the experience (the actual ice cream is just okay) and feel like we were short changed. I will think twice before ordering this experience for my family again.
