This hotel seems relatively new. The rooms are spotless with really thoughtful amenities, like high quality toiletries, well lit rooms, plenty of towels. Great location for any visitors to EWR, Short Hills Mall. The entire staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Only stayed one night, very comfortable, quiet, and convenient to where I needed to be. Modern room was very quiet, no o/s noise even though off hwy.Only complaint was that large screen TV was just about over the foot of the bed, so if someone was sleeping, the other couldn't really watch without disturbing the other. But really, that's it, everything else was top notch.
I live 3 miles from this hotel but had never had a reason to visit it. That is not until my central air broke down during one of the hottest weeks of July and needed to be replaced. As a result, I spent one week at The Hilton Garden Inn and could not have been more satisfied with my stay. This hotel is kept immaculate from the lobby to the restaurant to the guest rooms. It is beautifully renovated and bright in all areas. Our suite was extremely comfortable and spacious. Front desk team, housekeeping, restaurant staff were all professional and friendly. Special complements go to our waiter Orlando for making excellent food suggestions and serving us in a friendly, efficient, manner at each dinner. FYI: the food was delicious, and complements go to the lovely sous chef who prepared the most delicious pasta primavera I ever ate! Great bartender Raoul as well! Highly recommend this hotel for business travel or visiting this area for any reason!
Very nice & clean hotel with friendly front desk staff! Breakfast was cooked to order & very good. Close to many restaurants. Parking lot got a bit sketchy at night. In town for my kids travel sporting event & probably our best hotel stay of the summer. This is a great Hilton property.
This was an unexpected extended stay Staff are very accommodating and the property is very well maintained. Food is great - the menu is minimal but a great selection and fresh. The sous chef is excellent and always greets people to see how the food was. Very impressed!
This location is close to the best golf course in New Jersey. Went to tournament four days in the row. Great food nearby. Easy access to all things of importance. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
We stayed here for one night before heading to the airport. The room was a nice size, nicely equipped, quiet, and very clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. They have a couple of computer stations right near the front desk which let us print out our boarding passes for the next day. All in all a good place to stay.
This is the place to stay in this area! The hotel is clean and the staff is constantly working to keep it clean. The staff is attentive, friendly, and responsive. Our room was spacious with good lighting. The exercise room was clean and had excellent equipment, and it was good sized. We will definitely stay here again. The only negative is you have to pay for breakfast so we just bought some bars and ate them in our room.
Do not stay at this hotel if you want to sleep. They have a large event space. We heard loud music from a graduation party, with reverberating bass, until 11:00 p.m. When we called the front desk we were told there was "nothing they could do." We were traveling with kids and had an early morning event - why would you rent out rooms and then play loud music? Hilton Honors told us they would have our room comped. However, we were charged the full rate the next day. After another round of phone calls Hilton Honors said we would be refunded both nights of our stay, one night for the music, and one night for the refund hassle, but the hotel only refunded a single night. No refund can make up for the lost sleep and the aggravation. Stay away.

like the decor and a nice spacing
Whenever we visit our daughter in Newark, we LOVE staying at this Hilton Garden Inn. Whether one night or several nights, this particular Hilton Garden is AMAZING! From the welcoming front desk staff to the lovely restaurant staff, they all made us feel so welcomed. We ordered dinner from the dining room and took it to our Jr suite as we had several children and didn't want to disturb other diners. They made it so easy for us that it was effortless- especially being grandparents! At breakfast, the manager and the whole staff made us feel so at home and appreciated, especially Dolores, who even remembered all of us from our previous visits in the last 3 years. And breakfast was absolutely the best ever! And the children look forward to our time together swimming in the fabulous salt water pool! I don’t normally use indoor hotel pools as they usually feel "dirty". This property does an amazing job of keeping the pool area clean and inviting. Love this hotel!
The place is kept very clean. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. One nice feature is the availability of breakfast and considering food pricing today its not overly expensive. It also has a heated pool, which is very convenient if you want to decompress after a long day.
We held our babyshower here. The staff was wonderful and so helpful during our event. The food was amazing and they had such a variety available all of our guests were impressed. We will definitely plan other events here in the future!
I am currently staying at this location, and since I checked I have been pissed. The customer service here is terrible. I picked this hotel because of the pet friendliness and the proximity to my job and the new home I am purchasing. From the moment I walked in with my pets it was anything but friendly. I made my reservations online and when speaking with representative online I expressed I would be traveling with my pets. She made it seem like this would be a welcoming environment for us all, and it has not Upon my checking in I asked the gentleman where my dogs could use the bathroom and his reply was “ off to the side” After I was settled in my room I wanted to take my dog for a walked and I immediately noticed the manager on-site Mary Cortez giving me a scowl … I wasn’t greeted with a smile she didn’t even say hello. Shortly after my son did the same . He calls me and says a woman was shouting to him in the lobby asking did he pay a pet fee… I was extremely annoyed . As a leader in this establishment how did she think it was appropriate to confront a teenager asking about a pet fee? I’m sure it had everything to do with the fact that he was an African American teenager and she assumed that he wasn’t traveling with his parent and also that we didn’t pay. 1/24/23 I receive several calls while at work followed by an abrupt voicemail stating that tomorrow 1/25/23 I need to have my animals out of my room by 8am so a check can be done on the fire system. I am a single parent and I am also a government employee who works a full time job .. When I arrive at the hotel after getting off work to inquire about the abrupt voicemail I again saw Ms Mary Cortez. I asked about the voicemail and she explained to me about the fire check. I explained to her that I would have to take off work a whole day so their 5 min fire check can be done . She kinda shrugged and then said well we can’t predict when the fire checks would be done . I booked my stay here for 5 nights .. For a total of 1422.22 not and with the extra pet fee 1672.00$ . To arrive here and get treated like I’m asking for a hand out . My 1672.00$ means absolutely nothing because I’m traveling with my pets and my teenage son. I asked the manager how will I be compensated for having to take the day off for their 5 min fire check … She basically said it’s not out fault you bought your dogs. It’s totally unfair to charge a pet fee of 125$ if they are or can’t be comfortable. This has been an absolute nightmare and now I have shorten my stay which I know they don’t care bout because if they did the customer service would have been more inviting.
