We went to this restaurant for the first time and had a great meal with excellent and very friendly service. I wound up losing my wallet while we were there and the cleaning people found it and returned it to the restaurant who have it back to a very grateful customer. We highly recommend The Black Forest Inn.
Tender veal cutlets covered in a delicious Jaeger-style gravy, home-made spaetzle, and gently spiced red cabbage. German food does not get better than this, nor should it try. Superb!

The chef's were very accommodating as to letting me go through the kitchen( I wasn't able to use the stairs)
The food was the best German food I've ⁷ had in Jersey. The atmosphere was enchanting. The hunter sauce and roulade gravies were better than Oma made.
