We had a wonderful lunch here recently. I had the Buffalo chicken salad - exceptionally good, well seasoned and large portion. Another diner had the pear salad which she enjoyed, and the third person had a burger, also well prepared and presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will plan to go back on my next trip to Avalon. Mike, our waiter, was attentive and a pleasure to meet.

Had a late lunch and 7-8 hours later, I had food poisoning. So sick. Landed up in the clinic, I had to have IV. Called the restaurant and tried to speak to the owner but the waitress wouldn’t let me and it1:00 in the afternoon they’re telling me that the chef is not there. It was a terrible way to end a vacation. So many excellent restaurants near Stone Harbor, try them Diving Horse ~cafe loran

I ate at this restaurant a few weeks ago and the food was pretty good. I have since ordered twke out twice and this place majorly falls short with take out. The first time, they put the wrong type of chicken on my salad and forgot the dressing. I called and the person on the phone could care less. The second time, I ordered a salad I had already tried and instead of using mixed greens as advertised and as previously served, kale was used. Disappointing. Won’t be back.

We stopped in for lunch and had very generous hoagie and the special of the day was lobster bisque which had a lot of lobster in it...delicious.

Me and my girlfriend visited for lunch. I had the bbq chicken cheesesteak and she had the jacks classic. First let me say I was sad to see that only him and his wife were running the whole restaurant as I work in a restaurant and know how difficult of a job it is. That however did not interfere with our service. The owner/waiter was very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing and we love how he was so friendly and attentive to our needs as guests. 10/10 would recommend and come again!

had two friends go to stone harbor and we recommended Jacks to them. they ate there several times for different meals and were more than happy with the food and staff. we'll see you at the end of august, looking forward.

Had the veggie wrap. It was hot and tasty. Filled with well seasoned vegetables and provolone cheese. Took to the beach; was easy to eat. Doesn’t come this any sides but priced well at $7.95. ( I think).

Food was terrible...ok boy is sad and small, crab cake is just ok, cheesesteak was small and very basic....takeout burgers were over cooked... bacon cheeseburger didn’t come with bacon...offered to put bacon on it if I came back, who doesn’t love an ice cold burger with hot bacon on it?? skip this place

Ordered takeout at Jack's Shack Friday 6/26/2020. Several items were incomplete or just missing. Mahi Mahi taco came without the chipolte sauce. French toast sticks received without the applesauce. Jack fries were missing the ranch dip. AND, we ordered fries with old bay seasoning and crabmeat. They were not to be found. We were a bit unhappy, but being nearly 7:00 PM with six hungry kids at the table we ate what we had and all agreed not to order from Jack's Shack on any subsequent nights this summer.
