What drew us back for some time was the humbleness of fine Italian food mixed with genuinely kind and low keyed charismatic servers. There was unfortunately a shift in management. Our relationship with La Fontana changed. Our final dinner at La Fontana (Strathmere) ended with the general restaurant manager having an explosive fit directed toward two life long friends in their mid-80s.”

“Chanterelle BYOB. is definitely a up and coming fine dining experience. if you have followed Chef Jeremy Palumbo from PSI to Swine Bar to Provence and now to Chanterelle. you know that his culinary excellence will leave the colors plated to perfection on your plate and the taste of his culinary excellence exploding on your palet. the restaurant Is beautifully decorated with a calm and soothing atmosphere. the staff was excellent at their jobs and showed pride in their work . I would highly recommend this new establishment on 96th St in Stone Harbor. I have to give it 5 stars .”

“My family and I vacation in Stone Harbor every June and September and our goal is to visit every brewery in Cape May County. We stopped here today for the first time. We were NOT disappointed and it was unanimously our favorite stop of the day! Drink-wise, there was something for everyone, which is hard to accomplish in our family (sours, shandies, radlers, and German-style beers are our favorites!) The food was amazing, especially the pretzel and brisket cheesesteak! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was perfect. We will DEFINITELY return!”

The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is just as excellent. This cozy spot is a hidden gem for breakfast and lunch. “My black and white milkshake from he was pretty good, but not the best. The first 8 sips were like chocolate ish milk, and then finally it thickened up and started to taste like a real milkshake. Cute little spot, small milkshake wasn’t worth the $7.5 or whatever it was to me”

They sell homemade ice cream cake along with all kinds of specialty ice cream and ice cream desserts! We are so excited when they open for the season and so sad when they close for the winter! “Really good ice cream, large portions, seating available, bathrooms on site, off-street parking is free (but limited, of course). Not cheap, but what is? Workers are chill. A few blocks from the beach and boardwalk—no seagulls! The wait is worth it. Wish they opened a little earlier in the day, when it’s really hot. Also, a flavor board at the back of the line would be nice.”

“Stopped in while spending a long weekend at the shore. Local hot spot for sure as they still had a good crowd despite being off season. The wings are definitely a must as they were well seasoned and a nice size. I had the stuffed flounder while husband had the seafood combination. Everything was tasty and the portion sizes were good.”

“This place is a gem! Made to order fresh food, excellent coffee and healthy options like juices and smoothies. I had the BLT with Avocado which was delicious. Bacon was crispy and the avocado was super fresh. Also ordered a green juice and a latte. Both were perfect. Will definitely be going back.”
