I’m really glad I had a chance to experience this place before it closed. It truly was an homage to the early days of the Jersey Shore, similar in atmosphere to Busch’s Seafood in neighboring Sea Isle that closed a few years ago. Though I only went there once, I can confidently say my experience was extremely pleasant. Food was superb, staff was friendly. Farewell to a Strathmere icon.

I loved this place. So much of the food at the shore is over priced and mediocre. This place was fabulous. Unfortunately, the building is sold and will be torn down. The final day was September 15, 2019. Gone forever.

We loved this place. So many of the restaurants at the shore have mediocre over priced food. This place was expensive, but the food was worth it. Unfortunately, it is permanently closed. Last day was September 15, 2019. The building will be torn down. A great loss for the Jersey Shore.

Another fantastic seafood meal at Mildred's Strathmere. Meals included broiled stuffed shrimp, broiled scallops, fried seafood combo and flounder stuffed with crab imperial. All were exceptional!!!

Food is great! BYO. We have been going here for over 25 years and never had a bad meal. Better get here soon because Mildreds is closing 9 - 15 - 2019 for good. This place can never be replace for quality and price

I’ve been going to Mildred’s for decades. Reliably good food, especially the seafood, in a warm and inviting environment. We will miss you and we thank you for all the good meals and memories.

At one time the food here was great. Unfortunately, it is now barely mediocre. Flounder was dry. Filet, ordered medium, was raw. Service was really bad- they just wanted to get us out. The bus people cleared plates the minute a fork was put down. It's unacceptable to clear when some people at the table are still eating. One of our guests wasn't asked if he was finished- he wasn't yet the plate was whipped away without the bus person asking if he was finished. I voiced my complaints to our server. He apologized but did nothing to compensate us.

Mildred's has become a favorite go-to place this summer. It's always crowded and lively and the ambiance is casual with folks just having a good time and a straightforward good meal. The complimentary bread and long hots and family style Caesar is a great way to start the meal. The mussels in marinara is always a fav appetizer, the mussels taste fresh and the marinara is delicious. I usually order the Veal Parmigiana which is always tender in a great red sauce, and my husband usually orders fish. This time it was Snapper, which he said was fresh and well prepared. For dessert, we shared the Lemon Mascarpone cake which was delicious. Simply prepared foods, a comfortable vibe in a well air conditioned place on a warm summer evening with a few glasses of red wine - it's a hit for us!

One word....Delicious. I had the prime rib and Johnney (Apollo) had the Crab Imperial. Our waitress, Jenelle, was great and smiled constantly. Can't wait to go back, soon. BYOB
