What drew us back for some time was the humbleness of fine Italian food mixed with genuinely kind and low keyed charismatic servers. There was unfortunately a shift in management. Our relationship with La Fontana changed. Our final dinner at La Fontana (Strathmere) ended with the general restaurant manager having an explosive fit directed toward two life long friends in their mid-80s.”

“Whoever the amazing woman was who took my take out order tonight over the phone was the best! I ordered a Cesear salad and potato leek soup. I told her it was favorite and we quickly shared some laughs and she gave me the best tips on what to eat with (great recommendations btw lol) and was just so kind and bubbly. The food was on point ! “Everything was great. We got appetizers at 4pm and could not order certain meals until 4:30(weird) About 4:30 until we couldn't take it any more, we took the balance of our early dinners with us. At 4:30 we noticed the restaurant started filling with flied. First near the floor on my leg then on the back of our seats & table & all around our food. The restaurant was clean to your eye but being in the food service business, Since they were serving food outside using the back door, the flies were swarming in I would suggest bug zappers inside & outside of the exit where they are delivering food. And every so often do a deep cleaning of their furniture and floors, esp under the tables making sure to keep changing the water. Maintence rarely change mopping water from dining area, cooking area & bathroom. And Staff clean tables & booths with the same rags all evening. So like I recommend really deep clean furniture walls & floors & it will help cut down on sticky floors & flies. The food was the best I've had in OC but dealing with the flies was unreal.”

Not to mention, family-owned business that appreciates their customers and are dedicated to providing quality meals, the kind you eat with your friends and family and make those down-the-shore memories. “Chanterelle BYOB. is definitely a up and coming fine dining experience. if you have followed Chef Jeremy Palumbo from PSI to Swine Bar to Provence and now to Chanterelle. you know that his culinary excellence will leave the colors plated to perfection on your plate and the taste of his culinary excellence exploding on your palet. the restaurant Is beautifully decorated with a calm and soothing atmosphere. the staff was excellent at their jobs and showed pride in their work . I would highly recommend this new establishment on 96th St in Stone Harbor. I have to give it 5 stars .”

“My family and I vacation in Stone Harbor every June and September and our goal is to visit every brewery in Cape May County. We stopped here today for the first time. We were NOT disappointed and it was unanimously our favorite stop of the day! Drink-wise, there was something for everyone, which is hard to accomplish in our family (sours, shandies, radlers, and German-style beers are our favorites!) The food was amazing, especially the pretzel and brisket cheesesteak! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was perfect. We will DEFINITELY return!”

“The ice cream sandwich is good. I enjoyed picking my cookies and ice cream. However, they do not have as much ice cream as the pictures on their Facebook account or at the store. I'm hoping that is because they are training and it will get better. I will give them another chance. Margate”
