So, it start, I hate leaving a 1 star review but let me explain. Deauville Inn never responded to my email and now they blocked me on Facebook. To start, the bill for lunch for 4 adults and 3 kids was $450 plus tip. I'm ok with the price but they had the audacity to charge me $1 for extra salad dressing and $1 for Ranch dressing for my kid's chicken fingers. $1 for kid's dip sauce!!!! The manager tried to justify it with some BS about how the chef makes it fresh, lol. What a joke this place is, $18 wedge salad, that was under dressed, and charge $1 for some extra dressing. That scummy. Then, no response to my email and because I call them out on it on Facebook they block me!!! Classy.

Casual place on the bay in Strathmere . We had burgers ($22 each) for lunch, which came with chips ($2 upcharge for fries and $3 for onion rings, 3% to use a credit card). The burgers were alright but nothing special. The bottle of Aquapanna was $9, which is kind of steep. (The tap water in Strathmere is safe but has a high salinity.) But the coup de grace was the mayo. I asked for mayo on the side with my burger. When the bill came, there was a charge of $1 for the mayo. Are you kidding? I did get the charge removed, but having to do that leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. I've been coming here for over 50 years, but ever since ownership changed some years back, it's not nearly as good. And it's overpriced even by Jersey shore standards. When you charge me for a basic condiment, you won't be seeing me again.

Have been to the Inn approximately 7 times over this Summer and everything was excellent. We went with our son and wife to celebrate his Birthday for a 5:45 reservation.He was looking forward to the Strip Steak dinner , having read the menu on line. First disappointment was they had changed the in house menu from the one online to a paper menu, and the strip steak or filet dinner was not on the menu. The waiter apologized and said the in house paper menu changed 2 days prior, but did not relect what was on the on line menu . He did tell us that Prime Rib was the special that night, but we didn’t choose it. We agreed to the Veal chop. Our Waiter , Dan, checked with the chef, but they were out of the veal chop ; but said the chef did have a few strip steaks left. We happily agreed to the steaks. We ordered a strip steak and a filet, medium rare. After we completed our appetizer, we waited at least 45 minutes for the entree to come. Upon arrival , the steak entrees were overcooked. ( the other two entrees , which were seafood , were excellent.) . The waiter Dan, was very apologetic for the delays , and apologized for the overcooked steaks. We readily will pay the price for a good meal , but this was a very disappointing experience. We will return again , but felt this needed to be addressed. ~
what an amazing experience, we were greeted with 2 dock hands eager to help get us a slip. got seated in no time and we had Rob as our waiter and he was phenomenal. the food and the service are second to none. I highly recommend. thank you
