i went there this evening for coffee and empanadas. The service was okay, but the food quality was very disappointing. The girl who took my order gave me cold chicken empanadas that did not seem fresh at all. They were hard and extremely oily. When I asked if she could switch them for fresh ones, she told me she could only reheat them in the microwave and couldn’t give me new ones. She even said she couldn’t throw them out. That response was very disappointing and unprofessional. Customers should be served fresh food, especially when the issue is brought to the staff’s attention

This is my fourth time visiting Azucar. Everyone has been genuinely nice and accommodating. The food always looks fresh. Although I come in and I get my spinach and cheese empanadas, I started buying two at a time and now I’m getting eight to take home to share with my sister for our dinner and a late night snack. If you’re in the neighborhood come in everyone is very friendly and nice and the empanadas off the chain.

Lackluster to say the least. To the eye, the food looked tasty but taste wise?! Horrendous. The rice tasted days old, the rotisserie chicken tasted dryer then a saltine cracker. Absolutely unedible. My mother got chicken Marsala and it was so dry and tough as well. The only tasty thing we had were their juices. Overall, pretty bad experience m never coming back. Cook better.

Website doesn't work called the phone number to the restaurant and the lady who answered was rude. Tried to ask for an owner or manager. She said this number is only for ordering and got all mad at me. She then hung up the phone. Can't believe that's how people are treated over there. No other way to contact the restaurant other than what I did. Hope that changes at some point.
