Went here a couple nights ago, as I’ve heard good stories from my friends about this place. The food was bland, nearly tasteless, barely any hint of flavor. Ordered the nachos for an appetizer and they used a regular processed, melted cheese you buy in a store that next to the Tostitos bags. Would not recommend, the food trucks are better than this place, at a cheaper price too.

Had THE BEST chicken crunch wrap here after a night out and have been craving another since then! The additional sauces were phenomenal- the red sauce was spicy but SO flavorful, it definitely had me coming back for more even if it was a bit too hot for my usual liking lol. The green sauce also had a nice flavor and little kick. Will definitely come back for more!

So sad to say it was out first visit and it was very disappointing. 1. The bathrooms were so dirty and smelled like a subway. This should have been a predictor for the food. Strong smell of urine and my feet stuck to the floor. I’ve worked in the food industry for many years. Dirty bathrooms are an indicator of the back of the house. 2. We ordered dinner for dine in and it was mistakenly ordered as takeout. We got all of our food at once in to go boxes. If the food was good I would have been fine with this. 3. I ordered Baja fish tacos. I took one bite and the overwhelming ammonia smell and taste made me nauseas. I can say in all honesty I have not sent back a meal in decades. I didn’t eat it. 4. They did comp my drink for the to go mix up. The Churros were good.
So disappointed. Hopin I’m not sick in a few hours from the fish ?

Great spot in Summit for tacos. We tried the queso birria, barbeque beef, and the shrimp pineapple. All were very good. Our favorite was the queso birria. It was delicious! The shrimp pineapple was spicy and very good! Enjoyed my mezcal mule as well. I would definitely come back.

I wanted to love this place so bad :( We came for lunch and drinks and it was just very mixed. The man greeting us seemed rushed and grumpy, but thankfully we had another waitress who was very sweet. Some of the dishes were delicious, while some were, again, disappointing. Our steak came out very rare and had to be sent back. The fish was tasty but full of scales, the pana was amazing. For the amount charged, we really had higher hopes. So much potential!! Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this spot unless they tighten their service and food standards.

Lukas went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable, providing excellent recommendations and making sure our drinks were never empty. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an incredible lunch experience at Bar Bacoa, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for what would be a memorable meal.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the impeccable service provided by our server, Lukas. Lukas went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. His attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and deep knowledge of the menu truly enhanced our visit. He made excellent recommendations, and his passion for great food and outstanding service was evident throughout our meal.
The food at Bar Baco was simply phenomenal. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the creative combinations made every bite a delight. We particularly enjoyed the guacamole, which were standouts in an already impressive lineup.
Overall, our lunch at Bar Baco was fantastic, thanks in large part to Lukas and the entire team’s dedication to excellence. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend Bar Bacoa to anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience.

This review has two parts to it; First, great service and hospitality at Bar Bacoa. I'm not a mezcal person, but the mezcal margaritas were particularly well made and tacos birra were delicious. Great atmosphere and top notch tequila / mezcal selection. Secondly, big shout out to the staff at Summit House, their sister restaurant, who made the recommendation while I waited for my plus one. When the plus one didn't show up, they were incredibly understanding and had no issue with cancelling my reservation. Thank you both for a great experience, looking forward to next time.

Getting out on NYC on our way to PA and needed to get some food, stopped in the really nice town of Summit NJ and enjoyed some fantastic birria tacos, cauliflower tacos, guacamole and drinks. Staff was very friendly and quick. Nice atmosphere, clean and kept up, nice bathrooms and nice background music streaming. I only wish I had one of these in my back yard.
