not great beer at all. go to Twin Elephant in Chatham to get rid of the bad taste in your mouth and thank me later.

I think I caught the bartender on a bad day: I felt he was very short and condescending with me and that I was inconveniencing him for buying a beer during a slow period. Beer was very good however.

This place used to make high quality German-style beers. Best outside of Germany, better than most of the imports. When I visited recently, I was crushed to find that the artistry is gone. The quality has drastically dropped and the Bull and Bear has become another dull NJ brewery. Their beers are overly flavored with no subtly (showing a lack of confidence in their actual brewing) and they leave a very literal poor taste in your mouth. The bartender on staff didn't even know what a Kölsch or Altbier was. The place has gone down hill, which is a real shame as it used to be incredible.

I am new to micro breweries. My buddy suggested we get some friends together and meet up at Bull N Bear Brewery. I don’t even know where to begin. Everything about this place rocks. We had the blessing of being taken care of by Carson. He is d’man. Knows everything about everything. I cannot highly enough recommend this spot. You and your friends will have an amazing time. God Bless America! God Bless Blue & Gold! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!

Honestly was really looking forward to trying this place out. Unfortunately I had one of the worst experiences with the bartender. He was pretty unfriendly, not just with me but with my friend that came in with me as well. As soon as I started inquiring about what they had on tap I was met with an unfriendly tone and response. To say the least I can’t recommend it due to the service I received on 05/03, and I won’t be coming back. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

Great local spot!

Not impressed. The beer was not good. We tried the Brown ale and the Irish Red, both were kinda flat and they left a bad aftertaste. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile but I must have missed the window because, I can't understand what people like about it. It was really quiet on a Saturday night so the atmosphere was also weak. They have about a dozen varieties so maybe we just picked the two bad ones.

I wanted to go out the way and say this place is the friendliest brewery around the area. If you see “Julian” he is very passionate with beer and bartender and honestly a really genuine guy. Make sure you check this out.
