Awesome beer and even better service
Very good beer, outstanding Doppelbock and English IPA beers, great place to try amazing beers.
Honestly was really looking forward to trying this place out. Unfortunately I had one of the worst experiences with the bartender. He was pretty unfriendly, not just with me but with my friend that came in with me as well. As soon as I started inquiring about what they had on tap I was met with an unfriendly tone and response. To say the least I can’t recommend it due to the service I received on 05/03, and I won’t be coming back. Hope you have a better experience than I did.
Great local spot!
Not impressed. The beer was not good. We tried the Brown ale and the Irish Red, both were kinda flat and they left a bad aftertaste. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile but I must have missed the window because, I can't understand what people like about it. It was really quiet on a Saturday night so the atmosphere was also weak. They have about a dozen varieties so maybe we just picked the two bad ones.
I wanted to go out the way and say this place is the friendliest brewery around the area. If you see “Julian” he is very passionate with beer and bartender and honestly a really genuine guy. Make sure you check this out.
Love this brewery! Wonderful selection of beers on tap. Lots of great local bands on the calendar on a weekly basis. Awesome staff and family friendly. There’s an outdoor patio in the back too!
This is such a fun brewery! A great variety of excellent beers, fantastic bands playing, and a great crowd of people. It’s a welcome addition to the vibrant town of Summit, NJ. Don’t miss Bull and Bear’s holiday celebrations—this St. Patrick’s Day party featured fantastic Irish dancers and was so joyous.
Great beer, great music, great place! I’ll definitely be back.
Great beer, great staff and I love that they have live music, open mic, and other fun events. My favorite beers are Hogie’s heroes IPA and Blackberry bonus sour. They also started to showcase local artists work for sale. What a special place for locals. I always have a good time at bull n bear.

We just love BullnBear Brewery, for one, it's in my hometown of Summit. The owners and staff are so friendly and always helpful. We all luv to talk about beer. The weekly entertainment is top notch from Trivia, Open Mic Night, and Musical Acts from all over the area most every Friday & Saturday. Sunday's they have Jazzy afternoons to sit back and chill to a cool vibe. We give BullnBear Brewery Five Stars.
I have had some good times here, but things have taken a turn. The last few beers I've had hear have had an off flavor (infection). I'm not sure what happened to this place.
Go to Czig Meister in Hackettstown, friendly there and welcoming of new people.
We came in with 9 people at $10 each and your bartender was immediately a dick. Great work guys.
Bull & Bear has a fantastic location in downtown Summit with a great vibe. I stopped by on a Monday night, and the place was lively with trivia in full swing, which added to the fun atmosphere.
The beer was solid overall, though I’d recommend sticking to their pale ales over the darker options. It’s definitely a great spot to hang out, especially if you’re looking for a casual, energetic setting.
Would definitely come back for the atmosphere and to try more of their beer selection!
