If you are going for pizza don't bother, you will get better pizza from the frozen section at your local supermarket, same for the meatballs. Maybe main dishes are good, but I guess i won't be finding out

Hotsi Totsi shrimp is a must! Oven eggplant and roasted pepper mozzarella was really good. The most delicious salmon ever!

We went for lunch...we were 5 of 7 people in the place....I wanted broccoli and cafeteria and my friends all had salads....only to have the server come back and say you were put of broccoli!!! First seating of the day and NO BROCCOLI!! Not only was I very disappointed but it was my birthday!! I was very 🥺!

The ambiance was nice, but the food was just okay. We visited on a Sunday at lunchtime. The service was extremely poor. We had to request utensils and napkins, and had to flag down our server multiple times. Given the terrible service, I chose not to leave a tip, but they still added an 18% gratuity. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful lunch! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. The food was delicious, the chicken parm and butternut ravioli were perfection. We were fortunate enough to meet Chef Driola. They had an amazing Limoncello dessert! Delicious! Our lunch so special. Thank you!
This place is really nice, and the service is good! The food is average. You get a lot of food and that is a plus, but the eggplant parm dish is not the best. I will still come back here though!

Walked in, got seated, was given complimentary undercooked dough with olive oil and tap water, looked at the menu for 5 minutes and then sat there for 15 minutes without a server coming to introduce themselves even though there were 6-7 on staff staring at us the entire time. Walked out and will never be back.

La Pasteria is a nice, traditional Italian restaurant in downtown Summit, NJ. Their food and service are what I remember most and these will bring me back for another very enjoyable meal. Be sure to use the parking in the back. The decor is pedestrian. The tables and chairs are a little better than average. They have a regular menu and a daily menu which is just as large, adding depth to the offerings.
The staff is attentive as you want them to be yet they will give you space and let you go at your own pace.
The meals were well prepared and plated. They have the usual Italian dishes and several more that are worth a try. Live a little.
La Pastaria has an unremarkable physical ambiance, but the food and the service raise the overall experience up to five stars.

I went with my husband and mother-in-law. We were greeted wonderfully, the waitress was very polite, the food, namely pasta lasagna with pumpkin and chicken, was very tasty. There were children there, everything was super comfortable😜
