We were there yesterday at 7.30 pm. We were 4 of us. We wanted to sit in a booth but hostess refused to sit us at a booth stating “it’s for large parties”. The restaurant was at barely 30% occupany. Almost all booths were unoccupied and there was only one family with 2 adults and 3 toddlers seated at a booth. Even though we expressed our preference multiple times the hostess absolutely refused! She seated us at a table. Then half an hour later a family of 4 arrived and they were promptly seated at the booth. No prize for guessing. They were white!! I have been here multiple times and always had a welcoming and good customer experience. Yesterday was just bizarre. It almost felt like the hostess was hell bent on being everything a hostess shudnt be. Utterly racist establishment or rank poor customer service. Honestly they need to get rid of that hostess!

The Office Tavern Grill in Summit was a great experience. I made a reservation and was seated right away. They are extremely kid-friendly. The waiter kept addressing my 5-year-old as "Sir" and he loved it. We ordered kids food and appetizers and everything came out pretty quickly. All the food was delicious however I ordered the chicken and waffles and it had a particular spice that I loathe and was unaware was in it so I was a little disappointed. The kids loved their food! I will come back as I now have a 2nd favorite place for my kids
Parking: paid street parking, hard to find a spot unless you get lucky
Kid-friendliness: They are extremely kid-friendly. The waiter kept addressing my 5-year-old as "Sir" and he loved it.
My favorite pub in Summit. Allondre is a great bartender, and Carly is a wonderful server. Staff very friendly and customer focused. Food is very good, and consistent. Always see same chef in the kitchen. Ambience is perfect, beautiful space with windows/doors that open up to outdoor patio.

We ate dinner tonight at The Office in Summit. Our server was Amelia. She was one of the best servers we've ever encountered and she made our dining experience great. She was professional, warm, knowledgeable about the menu, anticipated our needs, gave us space, and made the meal so much fun. Her interpersonal skills and intelligence would make her great in a management position. Wow! Thank you!
