Had a great time with my boys last night at Village Trattoria. The pizza was excellent and the service was incredible for such a small shop. They really care about their customers. We will be back.

Great small Italian restaurant and pizzeria in downtown Summit. The food was delicious and the staff were very curious. A must try!

This place was #1 back in 2013 when the Chicken Roselli sandwich sold for $4.37. Back then, i dreamed of moving to Summit to eat pizza here everyday. Well, now i’ve done my part of the dream but the roselli is $12.99 an almost 3x price increase. Village Trattoria pizza has roughly doubled in price since 2013 which surpasses average NJ pizza-flation that chatGPT estimates as 48% from 2013 to 2025.

Now, their pizza’s are one of the priciest in NJ while competition is as hot as the oven. I’ve steered towards other high priced pizzerias that have niche value such as Wisconsin mozarella or thicker pan crust with more cheese + toppings.

First time ordering from this place and I just received it and OMG! Did not expect this pizza to pop out looking so scrumptious like this! I looooovvveeeeee a good pizza and honey, this spot right here, knows what they are doing! My entire team at work was treated to a pizza party for an amazing November and glad this is the spot we chose! 10/10 💅🏾

Here’s what I know: this place is feeding those who need help and that is enough for me to get five stars!

For starters, whoever packed this side plate of Caesar salad with spoiled lettuce, half empty knows this was completely unacceptable.

Second, they got my order wrong. I asked for Shrimp parm and Caesar salad instead of noodles.

I’m disappointed. I’m a longtime resident of the town and never had any issues eating here.

Village Trattoria in Summit is a cozy Italian gem delivering top-notch pizzas since day one. Their plain pie is perfection: thin, crispy wood-fired crust with just the right balance of fresh mozzarella and tangy San Marzano sauce, letting those classic flavors shine. It’s simple, delicious, and perfect for sharing on a casual night in. The staff is super welcoming, and the BYOB vibe makes it even better. Highly recommend for authentic, scratch-made pizza that hits all the right spots!

Came in for lunch and was greeted by Alien! He was very kind, attentive, and efficient. Ordered a penne vodka pasta and it was delicious! The small portion was enough for one person. Good place for a quick eat and delicious food. Thank you again to Alien for the great service and welcoming environment.

Good solid pizza. Great selection. Terrific service. Seating inside and limited outside seating. Parking can be challenging but it's worth the stop.

I've been going to this place for years, and they continue to be a favorite in our household. The specialty slices are always amazing, and the staff are very friendly. Love the casual setting also.
