The perfect place for our small gathering. Food was great and our waitress was terrific - a fun personality!

Winberie"s never disappoints! The ambience is warm, service impeccable and the food is always good. The bar is welcoming with a good selection of liquor. A hidden gem in Summit at the old opera house.

Winberie's is a warm and welcoming restaurant/bar. Perfect place to meet folks for Sunday brunch. The food was good, some interesting offerings and the service from Gabriella was excellent.

The entire bar was closed for a private party! Not one seat available, I ordered a to go meal and then asked for a beer, which I couldn’t get because the bar was closed for a party, no one there yet? 7:00pm Then when my to go meal arrived 7:22pm, I was told to pay the bartender but the bartender was too busy to take the money as he was now busy serving drinks, not to me but to the party attendees all four of them! A stupid miss appropriation of staff and seating. It is a bar/restaurant but the manager needs to be retrained as to how to allot space!

Dropped by Winberie's in Summit for lunch on a weekday, drawn by its spot in the historic Opera House on Kent Place Boulevard. The building's charm shines through with exposed brick and high ceilings, creating a welcoming, old-school atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed meal in this upscale suburb.

The menu leans into American classics with a Euro-bistro twist—think burgers, salads, pastas, and seafood options. I ordered the chicken club sandwich, which came with crispy fries and was solid: juicy chicken, fresh toppings, and a good brioche bun. My friend went for the quinoa salad, praising the vibrant flavors from the feta and veggies. Service was prompt and polite; the bartender suggested a local craft beer that hit the spot, and refills were quick.

On the flip side, it was nothing extraordinary. The sandwich felt overpriced at $18 (especially with NJ taxes), and the portion of fries was skimpy. The place was fairly empty mid-afternoon, but we still waited 15 minutes for our food, which seemed off for the light crowd. Noise levels were fine, but the seating felt a bit cramped near the bar. The happy hour apps we peeked at looked promising, but we didn't partake.

Reliable neighborhood spot for casual bites in Summit, especially if you're near the train station or shopping. It's got that historic vibe without pretension, but for the cost, I've had more exciting lunches elsewhere. Might try their brunch next time around.

I had not clue Winberie’s had a sister restaurant in Summit, NJ. I was looking on google maps for the Farmer’s Market and saw “Winberie’s”. I love the one in Princeton. It’s been a go-to for over 20 years. Now I can make a day of it 1. Farmer’s Market 2. Winberie’s Brunch

Our waitperson always remembers us and our orders from week to week and makes us feel welcome. we come in every Sunday, and it is a pleasure to have a great experience and the menu changes often, so it keeps it interesting. Camryn is our wait person, and she is always very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu!

The food, atmosphere and our server were all excellent. It was a beautiful night to sit outside. There were four of us..we had appetizers, dinner and dessert...everyone was very happy with their choices. Our server (unfortunately don't remember her name) was attentive, pleasant and friendly. We had a great evening!
