Rode's Fireside Restaurant

We had our family for the Mother’s Day Brunch. It was very disappointing. They had no meat. The ham and chicken they had was dry. Danish was on top of each other.

The service was good and the restaurant was clean.

Unfortunately we won’t be going back.

The food was not good at all. The bbq chicken sandwich was bland and the fries were like they were frozen from a bag. Overpriced for cheap frozen food.

Tried Rodes for the first & last time today. Placed an order for wings and fries. They stated it would be 30 mins. My husband went to pick up the order 40 mins later and the order was not ready. He had to wait an additional 25 mins. No apologies for the wait or explanation to why it took 65 mins for 2 orders of wings and fries. They were not busy, they definitely started the order after my husband arrived and paid for it. The food in itself was terrible. First the 2 separate order of wings came in the same box, not sure why?? The wings were bland, burned and had a weird smell to them. Fries were okay.

First time here in over 30yrs, food was delicious. Saturday night unusually busy they said. Had crabcake sandwich(fries,cole slaw), friend had burger(homemadechips), 2 teas, plus crab and artichoke dip with crostini

Rode’s fireside located in Swedesboro NJ is a beautiful restaurant with exceptional service. The food is excellent and the staff goes above and beyond for customers to have a pleasant experience.
I had the “Sea to sea.” The crab cake and shrimp were delicious! I am from Baltimore where crab cakes are exceptional and Rode’s outdid my favorite seafood restaurant in MD. I can’t wait to go back!

Emily at the bar was incredibly rude for no reason. She wouldn’t serve because the ID said “not for real ID purposes.” That has nothing to do with getting served alcohol, an ID shows your age. Maybe if she was nice about it I wouldn’t be as mad..but don’t be wrong and rude at the same time!

I've been to Rode's a couple of times recently, and the food and service has been great. Nice atmosphere, too!

Been here a few times never had a bad meal. Last night our server Colleen was great. She checked everything we had to make sure I could eat with my food allergy. The corn meal is a must

The last 2 times I have been here, the food has been so fantastic! I got the potato crusted cod. So good! Came with rice and asparagus. It was more warm than hot was the only negative but that didn't effect the taste! Also got corn bread appetizer and mozzarella wedge appetizer both of which were very good. Service is always wonderful here and it's so beautiful with all the holiday decorations!

Food and service both great, but they start you with cold generic bread and even colder butter. So much more inviting if they would upgrade the bread snd serve it warm with soft butter you can actually spread!

I haven't been here for a while but I just went a couple weeks ago and it was great I got the steak it was wonderful very nice staff

The food and the service was excellent, however it was so cold where we were seated and the server told us the owners control it by their phones but on a night like tonight why would you have the air on. The food and service was amazing though.
