When I walked in, the smell of the oxtail made me know what to order instantly. The food was served quickly and the side dishes (especially the mash potatoes) are very delicious. Alot of care in every dish!

We ordered the Escovitch Fish that was served with Rice/Peas, Sweet Plantains and Cabbage. Bernadine (the owner) prepares home-cooked meals showcasing the rich, diverse flavors of the region. Cafe Metro is a gem that brings the authentic taste of the Caribbean to Teaneck. This restaurant is a must-visit.
I wasn’t quite a fan of the peas and rice/stew chicken. However, the veggies were seasoned to perfection. Regards to customer service: AMAZING and very welcoming.

Came here on a Thurs late morning/early afternoon. We were greeted and served by the owner, what a pleasure. The ginger tea was AMAZING, large slices of ginger were served in the cutest personal size carafes which made the tea nice and STRONG. I ordered the red snapper w Mac n cheese and my finacé had the shrimp and grits. I rarely eat all of my food but I didn’t want to stop eating. I’m not a big grits fan but these were delicious coming from a non grits fan. Will definitely come again!
