Review Update:It’s 8:21 am on 7/26/23, the hours on the store and online say they are open at 8am. Yet, here I am and it’s closed. This is a little frustrating as I have no idea when they will open and well, I have to get on with my day.Previous review below:Nice to have an African and Caribbean market in the area.It is very modern, clean, and well organized. Very friendly staff as well. They honestly have a plethora of items and is pretty well stocked- but I am taking off one point as I went on two different occasions (once for potato leaves and once for luncheon meat), they didn’t have either items. I was a bit disappointed because these are very standard items in African Markets.Besides that, great asset to the Teaneck area and looking forward to continue to patronize this business.

Nice to have an African store in the area but this is the third time I have bought Yam and cassava from this store and every time I come home it’s either all bad or half bad and I can’t even eat it. I don’t want to be that person that will take it back. It’s annoying. I always tell myself I won’t go there again but that’s the only place close to me.

I have had the privilege to shop and eat at this establishment which seem the best in our area so far. It's neat and well stocked and the workers so courteous and professional. I wasn't however too pleased with my recent visit. I needed a particular item and there was this lady that I thought could help me but was so much engrossed in a social conversation with a rastafarian that I decided to go to the other African Market in Hackensack. This is is a blight on the image my favorite shop. We want this shop in Teaneck to stay because it is very convenient and good for our area. Not to put the customer service lady down because she had been pleasant on other occasions that I visited the shop.

This was my first time having African food, and the fried turkey was incredible! Will definitely be going back!

Woohoo!!! Guess what guys! I found another great Caribbean spot to get all sorts of (especially) Jamaican stuff - salt fish, callaloo, guinep, okra, soursop, yam, green and ripe banana, paw paw, Horlicks, milo etc. I’m excited- I can keep going! There is also the awesome customer service and warm Jamaican/African welcome you can expect when you visit to support this new gem in the Teaneck town.Let me know what you think.Enjoy!!!
