This is my go to anytime im in the area and some days I’ll even travel the 45 mins just to eat there. The food is well above average with a great ambiance although service can be very inconsistent depending on the time of day and who is serving.

The last few times Ive ordered chicharrones, it was extremely salty and over cooked so tough it was inedible. Oxtail was tough and rubbery. The mofongo was good bit a little dry

Pretty bad compared to what they used to be. Cheaper ingredients, poor and forgetful service, bad communication between the kitchen and the waiters. You can taste the food is not as good as it was when they 1st opened. Just a bad option in a land of many, many options.

Elsa’s has been going downhill for a while now, but today was the final straw. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. That short-haired lady who serves the food gave me barely anything ! my plate was literally halfway empty. I even had to ask her to add more and told her I didn’t mind being charged, and she still acted like I was asking for too much. I spent over $60 and left feeling like I got robbed. This is beyond disappointing, it’s disrespectful. I’ve supported this place for years but this was officially my last time. Elsa ya no sirve. Qué vergüenza, de verdad.

I understand is a hot day , how ever it’s was Africa eating at Elsa’s , is that dry heat , I could not eat all the food was sweating fire trucks and buses
