I like having choices and something different, and I get it here. Today, 3/4 I'm doing an adjustment to my comment. Your workers are very unpleasant, especially the cashier. They need to be more customer friendly, and more patient with the customers. I've been a customer since the grand opening, I was there for it. I drive distance just to support.Vegetarian options: Options are good

Order via Grubhub. Honey BBQ wings. No one reached out via app or phone to ask if I wanted SWEET CHILI WINGS. That’s what was sent.

I read through some of the other reviews. Sad to see some of them. But I have been here about 3 or 4 times in the last 3 months. And each time I've seen what looks like fresh made food. Good presentation. Twice I've seen them replenishing the food. The food has never let me down taste wise. I've had Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork, Cow foot soup, Red Pea Soup. They have all tasted great and reminiscint of my long time in NYC where I've had some of the best Jammaican food. Golden Krust for people from NYC has never been the 'food' destination. But I was happy to get official Jamaican restaurant style food in NJ. I thought I was never going to find good Jamaican food out here until I went to this GK. I've never known Jamaican restaurant staff to be super pleasant. But I made some jokes with my server and she cracked a smile. As for serving size, make your $ owner. We luv too much a big plate as it is. You need to thank them for helping you with your portions. Lol. Dem a look out fi ya health. As for cost, yes, it isn't cheap. But it's GK. Staff. Franchising cost. It's not cheap. You can't just give away food. Meanwhile we go to upscale restaurants and pay crazy amounts of money for small portions of food. Maybe if we change our mindset, some of these black owners can elevate to levels where they need to be, in order to open higher class establishments that serve Carribean food. Just my thoughts. Keep doing your thing owner. Keep responding to the reviews. Improve where there is need for improvement and keep pushing along. Food taste well season and nice. BIG UP!!!!

The horrible truth about Jamaican restaurants is that you have to patron the establishment in its 1st two years of opening, 3 if your lucky..after that the owners think they are going to outsmart the customer by providing lower quality food & reducing portion size without repercussions..I ordered a ackee & saltfish meal from these people & i watched as they filled my plate with provision putting 2 spoons of ackee in the plate..when I complained the woman stated a ackee & saltfish meal was only 2 SPOONS OF ACKEE!! I came for ackee not provision this is pure robbery..i just left & went down the block to purchase a can for $8 & made it myself..keep your 2 spoons bloody crooks..you have to watch your food prep because they will fill it with rice or whatever is cheapest to avoid giving you what you actually ordered..the same thing with the curry chicken if your not vigilant you will leave with a plate full of bones with gravy..Jamaicans always come with these back a yard f'ry practices thinking that's how business is run abroad please take that rubbish with you back to wherever it originated.

This will be the last time I support this establishment. If the owner are unwilling to make a change I will bring my money somewhere else. I often time stop in the mornings between 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. My order if a large curry chicken back with boiled dumplings, yam, and banana’s. As I and many individuals who support these black own business oftentimes receive to worsts customers service comparable to buying good in Spanish town market. THIS MUST STOP. Today I decided that I didn’t want to deal with that type of behavior and so I ordered online. My Oder was incorrect and so I called the store alerting them of the error and that I will be there shortly to pick up my correct order. I ordered a large they gave my a small. Upon my arrived I realized that the entire crew was awaiting my arrival. The cooks the cashiers the dishes washer etc… yet none of them took the opportunity to check that orders are done correctly. Embarrassing… in stead of remaking my order they handed my an extra small. I’m now at home extremely disappointed by the meal that they presented to me. 1 piece of yam and 3 half pieces of bananas with a few pieces of chicken back. I wasted money and time just be embarrassed. I also want to raise the concern that I only ordered online because I didn’t want to be insulted by the service who just the entire crew. Yet they messed my order and yet again I to endure the disappointment and insults entering black own business. If a white came and open a Jamaican restaurant across the street y’all would be out of business.

I am truly recommending the owner of this restaurant pull 90% of the staff from this restaurant and do an intensive customer service training, or just hire new staff. This establishment has lost trust in the community. The staff are disgustingly rude. My family has been patronizing this business since 2020 as we live about a five minute drive away, we have spend literally thousands at this restaurant. While the food is okay, I cannot succumb myself to the rude treatment of the staff. They refuse to greet you, refuse to give eye contact, speak to you with a tone as if you came to beg for food. When you ask questions about food, they do not answer and they turn their head. One day I went there with my daughter, I didn’t realize they were in the process of closing early due to the upcoming storm, the women working in there saw me and my daughter knocking on the door and trying to open and they said nothing. They looked at me looking confused at the door. It wasn’t until other patrons came out and let me know they were closing. At one point there was a young gentleman who used to do the cash register who was very professional and had a great attitude but I haven’t seen him in some time, and it’s too bad.Either the staff is really unhappy or they are just terrible at their job. Either way, the owner needs to do a serious deep dive into what their issues are before they lose their customers. I even emailed Golden Krust corporate to see how I could discuss this with the owner because this is appalling.

As much as I love my people, and my food, this Golden Krust is always painful to go to. I sometimes go here after church bc my favorite spot 14 Parrish is out of the way and closed on Sunday. It’s like pulling teeth to get anyone behind the counter to even smile. They are not kind, certainly not inviting, and you’re scared to even ask a question. Heavens forbid I don’t know what I want or need to ask for a recommendation when I walk in they practically roll their eyes. Like wow! The way they are so standoffish is just an understatement. Today I went in and got jerk pork, it was cold, which is disappointing and just like I thought, with my beef patty the Coco bread was not soft. When I asked the woman about the Coco bread, beforehand she gave me the worst attitude. They always have an attitude which I don’t understand for a place that is supposed to have excellent service. You’re in the service industry. It should not be an acceptable thing that Jamaican restaurants are just this rude by nature, someone didn’t love you?Their prices are astronomical, which again is something that is a trend amongst Jamaican restaurants. I understand that the price of things are expensive, so I don’t complain about that part. For SOME THINGS, bc there’s no reason a small stew peas is over $25.But at least give me decent portions, and at least give me good service which they do neither. I just feel like I have to stand up for myself today, because i usually never say anything, but I’m a paying customer!!! It almost feels like you’re expected not to say anything, and just accept what you’re getting. I suggest a hire Jamaican cooks, and change the customer facing staff to people don’t mind interacting with customers.

If your looking for Caribbean food this place is ok. It’s not the best but they taste good. I don’t like that the service is slow. They have nice indoor seating and nice music.

Checked this place out because the Jamaican spot I frequent had cow foot soup. No thank you. So I ducked in here on my way to work. Really nice presentation. I'm from bklyn and that's where I first started getting food from GC and I will admit this is the absolute nicest GC I've ever been to. My favorite soup is the red pea soup. I was totally disappointed. Very watery hardly any meat and one damn dumpling. Yeah I was pissed. The festival was extremely greasy. That was a first. I've never had a greasy dumpling before. I also ordered 2 pieces of fried chicken and that was really good. I will be back but more than likely I will only get the beef patties. I will say I only paid less than 13.00 for everything and that was extremely reasonable.

The large oxtail and large jerk chicken that I ordered through #UberEats from the Teaneck location of #GoldenKrust was distasteful to say the least. The oxtail was filled with filled with fat and greasy while the jerk chicken was awful. I will not be ordering from here again!

First and last time coming here. All because of the horrible service. You ask a simple question and it’s a problem. Lol nothing new though. When you close down this is why. ? please don’t comment trying to be all humble/concerned on google reviews but you allowing your establishment to run with no respect for customers that spend money with you. You don’t care and neither does your team.
