I live in the Washington, DC area, but spent several years of my adolescence in Brooklyn, so I know a great bagel when I see and taste one. After reading an article in a food magazine, a few years ago, that listed Teaneck as best bagel shop in the NYC area, I had to investigate. While I didn't try the bagels at each of the top 50 shops listed in the article, I was totally convinced that Teaneck could indeed be the best. Ever since reading that article, I've been making an annual pilgrimage from DC to Teaneck. Each trip, I come away with at least ten dozen, which I freeze and enjoy throughout the year. (To thaw the bagel, I recommend preheating an air fryer to 400 degrees, then inserting frozen bagel for 5 minutes, then let stand in the shut off oven for 1 minute.)

Cute little spot. Bagels are very nice. Had them fresh and it was after 12. They don’t grill (no meat) which is disappointing. Also it can get crowded quick which can be a little uncomfortable with everyone trying to order at the same time. However would make a point to come back here. Bagels are just too good.

The bagels are good, which they should be since it’s hard to mess up a bagel. However, the service is awful. The line is often out the door, and the staff takes their sweet time with zero sense of urgency.
There is no way to order ahead. No online ordering. No organization whatsoever. Boomers are the only clientele keeping this place alive.

My brother- in- law raves so much about Teaneck Road Hot Bagels. He says he's doomed once he starts his new job in a few weeks because he will be making a stop every day because it is that good.
I'll be trying out their bagels next time. We went in to pick up a bagel with my brother-in- law. I have never seen a bagel place where you can see the bagels piled up along the glass. Visually it looked cool. Our lil guy was standing there and staring at the customers.

This is a nice little takeout bagel shop on Teaneck road. I loved the morning bustle and ambience of the store. There's dedicated parking for the store. Many employees, very polite and attentive to the customer.
Had an onion bagel with scallion cream cheese on the side. The bagel was kind of so-so, a bit too soft, I felt. But the cream cheese was just exceptionally good. Fresh, with nice green pieces of scallion. I would visit the store again.

Go somewhere else. Staff was so rude and on top of that the guy who was going to make my bagel ran into another worker, smacked him in the head with the bagel and proceeded to make the bagel. He also wasn’t wearing gloves.
