Honestly, you do leave the restaurant with a new family. My family would fist fight each other but Nisiotis will cure it all. The food is amazing, tops every other Greek food. I cannot and will not have enough of it. Its all I dream about. The kids love it. It’s amazing to feel part of a family, especially if dining with Nisiotis.

We went for early dinner and I guess that’s why the lighting was glaringly bright. Our waitress was terrific, warm and friendly. We were disappointed with the food. The gyro platter was so full of food it was difficult to eat. The grilled octopus was cold. The Greek potatoes were tasteless. Maybe we just were there on an off night since it was a Wednesday.

I’ve been here twice, and the food was excellent both times. This last time we shared their fresh calamari appetizer and we each had their pan seared scallops over spinach. Both were outstanding. The staff is so nice. The owner, Chris, goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Enjoyed a bottle of white wine that we bought across the street. Finished our meal with espresso and cappuccino. Definitely recommend.

Nisiotis has a warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food. The seafood we had here rivals what we’ve tried in Manhattan and Astoria.

I am sorry to report this but perhaps the owner will take notice. Finally made it in to try out the new owners spin on things. I really hope he reads this. The old owner made outstanding gyro’s. We would go weekly. I am sure many would agree awesome food!!!! This go around not good. I was hesitant to try as to why soooooo long to actually go in. Pita not lightly heated on grill. Barely any onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. Then the meat is about half. This could not be more opposite of a good gyro. I hope you pay attention to this if you want to stay in business. Cheers and good luck to getting this right!!!!

Terrible place terrible waitress. The waitress is just incompetent as you enter the restaurant the tables were not clean. You can’t even get your drink for another 18 minutes. The food was lousy all around and then at the end when you want your check she’s just talking for 35 minutes why two people are waiting to close up their bill. I think it’s time for you to get another job somewhere else and maybe teach the chef how to make to make better food.

Simple, fresh, and delicious! Clean and inviting interior with great service. I've eaten here 5 times in the last two weeks, since I travel for a living, and was impressed every time. Great food at very fair prices. Will definitely come back when in town.Parking: Park behind the restaurant.

All of the dish were very good. If you are an adventurous eater, I would recommend the liver. I was surprised of it’s taste, I can see some would not like it bc of the smell but I think I would come back here just for that liver. If you want a full meal with appetizers and main entree, price does get very expensive really quickly. If the service was improved the price would definitely be justified. Food was great nonetheless so I would recommend anyone who are looking for an authentic greek food that aren’t heavily Americanized. The menu items are titled in Greek (I assume) though. I’m not too familiar with greek food so I had to look up items on my phone to see what they are. It would be really helpful if the restaurant provided more detailed descriptions of the menu items or even some pictures perhaps! Overall a good experience.

Best Greek food in Northern NJ. Ingredients are fresh and meals are authentically prepared, like I was eating on a Greek island! I recommend the zucchini croquettes, meat platter, and octopus! Great prices. Staff is so friendly.

I absolutely love this authentic Greek restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the portions were big. I had the chicken souvlaki and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Greek food. You won't be disappointed!

Felt like I was back in Greece! Intimate greek restaurant with all the home made greek food from souvlaki platters, fresh fish and traditional oven dishes. House wine is a must. Owner Chris and entire staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend for your dinner night out with your friends or family.
