It was supposed to be a special dinner as we thought it will be the French experience for our kids who wanted to taste french food. Nothing was French at all. Maybe the starters bread - baquette - you can count as a French dish. The beats were totally unseasoned without any flavor, tuna tartare was just cut avocado and cut tuna nothing else no taste and served with chips which would probably make French people scream out of their lungs if they just saw that. Because if you go to Paris, French riviera or Provence, you get a very good French bread that goes with tuna tartare, not chips. And let's go to the main course, worth of $120. Not much French dishes to choose from but Coc Au Vin which they interpret by serving chicken instead of roster, ridiculous. So we ended up ordering 4 Steak frittes which was totally average steak, which was not done as we wished for, apparently medium rare means well done for the chef because it was just not good. The only edible thing of our dinner was french fries which my boys were happy with and I was not. Thank God, we have our own two bottles of wine that we could drink to make our evening better.Oh, I almost forgot desserts, you would probably think that there would be chocolate mousse, creme brulee or something French, but you are wrong. The choices were a lava cake, mini doughnuts, halva and apple pie with ice cream. Something I never had in France and I'm sure French people would not choose either. Donuts are not very French are they? That's probably it. Very disappointed, $220 for 4 people definitely wasted. Never coming back.Ps: I usually take pictures of the food so I can show, Not today. I did not even feel like taking my camera out of the bag. So no pictures and I am advising you to go next-door to frozen yogurt please because you're gonna have much more fun there than you would have here.

Unfortunately, my friend and I came here for lunch and we got food poisoning. Please use fresh food (my eggs smelled rotten) and wear gloves which I noticed they don’t wear in the kitchen. Also cheap on the portions for the prices.

Excellent dinner. Had the Roasted Cauliflower with Green Tahini and Pine Nuts, Coq Au Vin and Warm Apple Tartlet. All were terrific plus great service.

Every time I come home to tenafly I stop by to grab a salad. They can’t be beat! The pasta and tuna tartar are great also. The staff is really nice and helpful, and the restaurant is very clean.

This place used to be excellent but unfortunately went downhill. I came with my family around the holidays and we ordered the halva ice cream for dessert but it tasted like it was mixed with chemicals. When we got home that night three of us had painful stomach cramps. My stomach has never felt these kind of pains before. My only guess is that cleaning fluids somehow became mixed in with the dessert. I called the business multiple times to speak with the manager and let him know that our food had been compromised but each time I called a server told me " the manager will be in tomorrow" unfortunately I won't be coming back with my family anymore as I do not believe they practice proper food safety procedures. Also our server had AirPods in the entire time he was serving us and could not have cared less

This is a hidden gem in Tenafly. Celebrated my mom’s 66th birthday last night. The space, service and food were all A+++. Thank you for accommodating us all party of 12 (including kids). Rolando and his manager went above and beyond to make this celebration a very memorable one. Thank you!

The food is really pretty good however the prices were high and the service was very slow. For me waiting too long can really take the enjoyment out of a meal.

Nice find as we travelled through... a friendly and welcoming host got us setup and seated quickly. The menu boasts a number of choices, but they weren't trying to be everything to everyone. We enjoyed the roasted cauliflower as a starter. Perhaps a tad more roasting just to firm that up a pinch, but not close to being a problem. The roasted chicken was big, juicy, well cooked and paired nicely with some fat asparagus and perfectly made mashed potatoes. The steak and frites was reported as being on point. For those coming and who enjoy some juice with dinner, they do not have an alcohol license. Not a problem, though, as you can bring your own and there's a place to procure what you'd like across the street.

Worst resturant ever!!!I ordered orange juice for my daughter and they served us spoiled orange juice. My daughter drank it and she was shock by its taste. It was tasted like sour and taste similar to vinegar sparking seltzer.
