Nice family-style Spanish food! A touch on the fishy side, but the paella was truly delicious.

One of the best secrets in Tenafly, Sayola is a wonderful place to enjoy all of your favorite Spanish foods. From the duck empanadas, clams and paellas Sayola never disappoints us.
It's was very good dinner, beautiful place, amazing environment, excellent service and very tasty food! Thank you very much!
I came to this restaurant today with my friend for dinner. We ordered paella marinara, calamari, coconut flan, & coffee (coffee was so delicious). We received complementary fresh potato chips, & fresh warm bread with olive dip. This restaurant is beautifully decorated, ambiance is also very lovely. Staff was amazing. The server, bus boys, host, management everyone was very friendly and service was excellent. I was impressed with their service; this is not something we see very often in other restaurants. I recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking for great food and service. We also tried Sayola in Montclair couple years ago and that location also had great food & service. Please keep up the great work guys!!

Celebrated my bday here for a flamenco night. It was such a great night. The service is good, the food is good, the place is decorated lovely. We had 22 guests. Everything went smoothly, everyone enjoyed themselves. The flamenco show was fun and entertaining. They also show the soccer games at the bar on the weekdays and weekends. We've been a few times since.
On father's day food and service wae really bad. My friend did a reservation for my birthday that day and they brought us food cold and at the time of desert and sign happy birthday no one came, we had to ask the waitress to sing for me

We went for a weeknight dinner out at Sayola and it was fabulous! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I really liked the Caldo Gallego, a Galician soup, and the Paella Valenciana. So yummy! Our waiter was attentive and the place was ample, well decorated and authentic. Perfecto!

Great first experience! Felt like we were in another country but we are 5 minutes from our house. Can't wait to go back!
When we went, they had massive mandatory gratuity, which rubs me the wrong way when it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get the food. The portion of soup was really small like half a can of campbells, then, Then the meal, it was good but puny portions. Lobster had the equivalent of 1 stick of imitation crab meat worth of meat on it. 5 shrimp, a few clams and mussels, and squid rings. Majority of it was just shell and the meat was 2 mouth fulls. It was a bad choice on my part, but I think the meal could have done with rice, generous amounts of squid and shrimp. But thats fine dining for you. and then 30 minutes just sitting at an empty table trying to flag down a waiter for the dessert and the check. For the price I thought we would be getting a feast, but the portions were depressingly small. Compared to diners and cheesecake factory, you get spoiled by the portions. I guess I'm not cut out for fine dining. Food is good though, but I don't want to pay near 400 dollars and still be hungry when leaving.
Brought 4 friends (who had never been) to this 'go-to' of mine. None were disappointed; the restaurant lived up to my boasting. Appetizers were the combination skirt steak, shrimp and chorizo; fried calamari, coconut shrimp and shrimp in garlic sauce. We needed extra bread for the sauces. They were great. This carried on to dinner. Three had the filet mignon and shrimp special, I had the bronzino and the other had the veal medallions. Again... any of the sauces are unique, flavorful and requiring some bread to finish them off. One of them plans to reach out for a small party; they others said they'd definitely go back (we're planning a birthday brunch there in June!!!) do NOT pass this place up!
