Tenafly Kosher Deli & Caterers

This was my first time ordering from Tenafly Kosher Deli, and unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were influenced by my usual experiences with delis in Bergenfield and Glen Rock, but this takeout order didn’t measure up.

I ordered a combination pastrami and tongue sandwich, hoping for a satisfying meal, but it felt like I received mostly scraps with very little pastrami—the main component I was looking forward to. Additionally, I ordered a kasha knish, which turned out to be mini-sized, unlike what I’ve experienced at other delis.

I really wanted to love this meal, especially since I was hungry and craving a great pastrami and tongue sandwich, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. I hope this feedback is helpful for their improvement.

My go-to for deli food. I always order their Reuben, Matzo Ball Soup, Potato Pancakes, Kinishes, down to all the sides... It's all yum.

This is the best place to get a sandwich on planet earth. Mike and Steve are awesome to talk to and provide great service. The food is out of this world, can’t recommend it enough. My favorite place to eat!

This is a small deli, one of the few remaining in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. They offer a full range of deli delights, most of which are made on premises. It's really only a take-out place, as there is only bar seating with stools. The food was excellent and the owners were friendly and talkative. If you're in the area, go there. You won't be disappointed.

Something special in there

I had to pick up some kosher meals for clients and got something for myself at this location. I called in my order and when I arrived I parked in the lot nearby. I walked in and my food was ready and I paid. I ordered the tuna wrap and fries. When I ate everything was good and plenty.

Their soup and sandwiches are great! The gentlemen who staff and run the deli are always helpful and accommodating.

Good frozen section and deli. Great sandwiches. Best hot dog on earth. Go to refuge for former Harold's customers.

Perfect! Been looking for a good kosher deli since i moved to NJ and this is the one. I will definitely be here a lot. Great selection and very friendly workers/ owners. The matzo ball soup was simple and tasty- so comforting to eat. The potato latkes were the best ive ever had! The pickles were also natural, homemade and perfect. If i lived in the area i would be here 3-5 days a week. But i have to say that it is well worth the journey for me to stop by frequently despite distance.

Small is size but Massive on Taste. Tenafly Kosher isn’t a large deli, but it can complete with the big boys - selection of meats, prepared foods, and frozen favorites. Whether it’s a quick bit, a platter or a full selection of items to host a holiday meal; Tenafly Kosher is too notch
