As a lover of Hawaiian cuisine and a native Samoan, I am always on the lookout for authentic flavors that remind me of the islands especially in this season of harsh winter weather. Ui’i Shrimp is a delightful find that does just that. I ordered the combo, spicy shrimp and traditional Hawaiian poke, and spam musubi. Everything tasted great! The owner was very hospitable and attentive, truly in line with the spirit of Aloha. Whether you are a native of the Pacific Islands or someone who appreciates good food, Ui’i Shrimp Restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Such an insult to Hawaiian food. I have been to Hawaii number of times but this was not it. Smell of the restaurant, cheap furniture, random piano sitting in the restaurant are only the beginning. The quality of food is the worst and so shocking that i have never tasted such low quality food in decades. Straight up reheated frozen food..

First visit here :) I usually eat poke in the city during the week, but missed this week due to an injury. Came to Tenafly for a chiro treatment next door and dropped by at U’i Shrimp for a quick bite. Cecilia was so friendly and sweet!! Food was delicious and loved the music playing! Inside was very spacious and clean. There’s even a piano and the popular “claw” stuffed animal grabbing machine in there! Next time I will try to play a note or two, and grab a toy for my doggie at home! Thanks Cecilia for this great first time experience! I will be back again!!!! Ordered ahi poke bowel (with Hawaiian sauce)and brown sugar bubble tea (without bubbles). Loved it!!!!

I never write reviews but I’ve been to U’i Shrimp a couple times now and it never disappoints. So fresh, so tasty and authentic. The service is quick too. You won’t be disappointed. This is a pic of their spicy Ahi bowl. Yum. Give it a try!

Love Hawaiian food but this was a little disappointing. They throw everything into a box with no partitions. They use the same box for all their sizes so if you get a small, it looks half eaten but I digress. The shrimp is a little bland on its own so make sure you get some the garlic sauce in your bite. The chicken is well seasoned but was dry on the first go and a little less so on my second visit. The sides for the combo changes, I got macaroni salad and then slaw on my second go. Both were good. It's far from the best Hawaiian food I've ever had but with little choice in Bergen county, I guess I'll take what I can get.
