I am so happy that Gargiulos is now open for lunch!!! Not only is this my favorite restaurant in the area for dinner, it is now also my favorite spot for lunch :) I love the relaxing ambiance with quiet music, excellent service every time you go with the same familiar faces and getting a nice homemade meal with fresh ingredients, almost impossible to find these days. Gargiulos is such a gem!!! You will never be disappointed here :)

This is not your traditional Italian restaurant with veal or chicken parm, linguine with clam sauce or pizza. However, the dishes they DO serve are superb. From the bartenders, waitresses to the busboy- they were all very attentive, pleasurable and professional. We had the pleasure of meeting Nino the owner, who has an interesting and extensive background in the food and beverage industry, and he's happy to share it. When you go, ask to see their cocktail list which has their unique cocktails created by Nino's daughter.

The Hostess was very rude. She kept asking us to move our seats at the bar. We couldn't even enjoy our drinks because we had to go to the table. The bartender was very nice. The drinks were very good. The place was nice. The sauce was sweet and the meatballs had a seasoning that had a weird taste. The scallops were good but average. My husband wanted his chicken over rigatoni but the waiter told us the chef won't do it. The waiter told us he won't even ask the chef. Unfortunately, I think the restaurant thinks they are better than they are. So disappointing.

My first time at Gargiulos and I was mighty impressed. 4 of us and everyone's meal was great. Only one meal came w cut up small potatoes which were not as good, maybe I over cooked? I would suggest the possibility of offering choice of potatoes when it comes w the dinner. My mashed potatoes were fantastic.

We have visited a few times in the past; however, this visit was lacking. We started at the bar and had a drink before dinner. The bartender was friendly and very attentive. We had a 7:30 reservation and our dinners finally came out at 9pm. Our dinners were very good, as always. We all enjoyed what we ordered. The service was ok at best, we could never find our server. It was quite a disappointment being we've been there before. We will give it another try, I'm sure. We always enjoyed their NY location also. I'm hoping next time is better.

Staff was very friendly, we asked for some modifications to our meal since It was Friday during lent. They were very accommodating and the food was very good. Parking is limited but they have a awesome valet. First time dining there and we will definitely be back.

Unfortunately this place is hit or miss. The arugula salad was loaded with thick cut red onions. The dressing was bland. I actually put salt on my salad which is something I rarely do. The seafood risotto was mediocre at best and the Cacio e Pepe was swimming in oil. The atmosphere is quite nice but that's about it. A total this time.

food was outstanding but service from the bar to the table was a bit unorganized , prices are high but this may be from Bidenomics. Had 4 glasses of wine, 2 apps, 2 entrees's , desserts and coffee and bill was 300 that includes tip. Is this the new normal for a Jersey Shore restaurant?

The dinner that I had at Gargiulo's was phenomenal. The service was fantastic! I would eat there every night if I could! Great hosts in a lovely atmosphere. Five stars for sure!

Ambiance was really nice. Appetizers were excellent. Entree's were good but just good. For example, pasta was not homemade. For those prices make it homemade. Desserts were very good. Espresso martini was mediocre. Espresso was served in non traditional/ incorrect demitasse cups and the taste was meh. Espresso tasted like it was made from a pod. Our service was not that great, we asked for a second bottle of water and it never came. Having said all of that I would go back. I would recommend it but not highly recommended. The menu was more Italian American rather than Authentic Italian. Again, I would go back though.

Food was good, a little expensive. We had a gift certificate we purchased online and at first the Tinton falls restaurant said that was for the coney Island restaurant and did not want to take it. Showing him the gift certificate did not state Coney Island only, he did accept it. That was the only issue that the did resolve.

Authentic Italian food. As an Italian I judge everybody's dishes especially meatballs. This food & the meatballs were as authentic as you could get. Great place, we'll be back.

We started with cocktails and were not rushed . We had the cheese board and I had asked to space out getting our dinner and awesome job on the timing . My wife were greeted by the owners son and thanked us for coming back again .

Moved us for regulars coming in later. Manager talked to those regulars across the bar the whole time where we couldn't hear anything else. Didn't feel welcome as new patrons. I reached out to the restaurant via email before posting this and didn't get a response.
