I was wondering about this place for a while and finally went last night. Food was very good, fresh and nice portions for the price. They have interesting things on the menu and the vibes are good!

Great food, pizza and salad were both fresh and very good. Local brewed beer was fantastic. Only issue is the techno music. Doesn’t fit the vibe at all. Change or delete music pipes in altogether and it would be a 5-star place.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of families here.

I went here for Valentine’s Day with my Girlfriend. The people at the front were very welcoming and kind. Once we got sat, we didn’t get talked to for 15 minutes, once our waitress Jennifer came over asked what we wanted to drink, It was going smoothly till after we got our food and stuff. After we got our food and some time went by we needed more drinks and our server never came to us till we had to call her over after like 30 minutes;(no other server stopped to ask as they were asking all the tables around us). Finally after we got more drinks we finished and asked for the check. I got the check and immediately saw an automatic Gratitude of 20% put on the check. I was confused but instead of fighting it I just paid it and left. All I would say this place should not be putting an automatic Gratitude on there without speaking with the customer as well as they need to teach them how to check in on their customers throughout their meal. Also this is not a fake review as you can see by the receipt attached.

Went with my sisters and my mom and my kids and this place has gone downhill. The service was terrible. She basically disappeared after we ordered. The chicken was a microwaveable patty for $15. She overcharged us for the shrimp by $6 than said oh we never changed prices back from Christmas Eve. So you have been overcharging customers since then? Service took so long my son asked for bread and they said they don’t give it out for free anymore and charged us which I didn’t care my son was starving. Never will I ever go back to this dump!!

My girlfriend and I went to artisans in Toms River on New Year’s Eve to have dinner. Great atmosphere. BUT…. For the prices of food, they were offering the utensils they gave us were very cheap. There is no heat in the bathroom and the bathrooms were FREEZING. When our waitress first came to the table, she asked us if we wanted bread brought to our table, and if we did it would cost ONE DOLLAR to have bread 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I must say our dinners were delicious but again… I ordered a chocolate dessert with a glass of milk and was brought a piece of chocolate that I could barely cut through with my fork because it was so hard, and half a glass of milk when I brought these issues to the attention of the waitress she gladly brought back the dessert But a snotty attitude when I asked to be refunded for the milk also. She claimed I drank half of it when that was absolutely not true. So I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

I had the repast here for both of my in-laws and it was well put together. We went for dinner tonight (NYE) and were seated right away. Maybe 1/2 full which surprised me. Until I saw the prices. This is not NY or Hoboken. Pricing is higher than Charlie’s of Bayhead where at least they can pull it off. $69 for a filet is nuts for this type of restaurant. And then they cover it in gravy! Again, surprised. Filet was done perfectly otherwise. Chicken parm had a great flavor but chicken was very tough. Hard to chew. Caesar salad was very good as was the crab cake so a mixed bag. The final straw for me was an automatic gratuity on a check for 2 people. I’m not even sure that’s legal and while I always tip well I don’t like finding out at the end. I would expect it for 8 or more but not 2. Long story short, too many good restaurants in the area to keep this one in the rotation. We won’t be back.

The absolute BEST place in Toms River! The atmosphere is quaint, the service is awesome, and the food is to DIE for! We started with the shrimp Saganaki and mini spinach and cheese puffs! Absolutely delicious! Our entres were the Shrimp Gemelini and the Beef Short Ribs, JUST WOW! We will be back!

I’ve been to this local restaurant a few times and usually order the garlic shrimp appetizer..On previous visits, I asked to have two servings of shrimp over spaghetti, and the waitress happily accommodated me..This time, I ordered the same dish but was served only the shrimp..When I asked about the pasta, the recent waitress informed me it wasn’t included but said she could bring me a bowl of spaghetti..The shrimp this time unfortunately was rubbery, but what bothered me more was the $10 charge for a bowl of plain noodles..My total came to $47.93, far more than the roughly $38 I paid on previous visits for the same meal.. I thought about speaking to the manager but decided I just won’t return..I also skipped the tip due to the unreasonable charge for pasta..

I was skeptical about Artisan's. As every restaurant in New Jersey, Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen, that said it's something different, something extraordinary.
We stopped in for drinks and a light late lunch. We tried their pocket book carbonara and it was probably one of the best things I've eaten in a long while. It was elegant, tasty and executed very well. We also got the tiramisu and that got all 10s. Couple that with great specials, great martini selections, great service and atmosphere you will definitely want to visit.

They need a front end manager Waited over 7 mins for someone to acknowledge we where sat They where not even busy Sad that the staff isn’t trained to help each other instead of walking around aimlessly The food is very good They need to get their act together in the service area

I travel the country and eat food from all parts of this great country. There is nothing homemade on the menu. They use the term homemade a lot. I don't believe it. The apps were lousy like I bought them at Walmart. I had the humus and the artichoke dip (I made a mistake and typed crab dip) Pita bread served with app was stale. Bread on the table was stale. The ravioli was good. I had the worse upset stomach all night due to the cheese they put on the crab dip.
Good news, I didn't get the squirts. Also, will never go back.
Clean place, service was fine.
