J Leno's Pizzeria & Restaurant

The place was ok, but I had terrible service from some young guy on his phone the whole time so I assumed he was on break, and then all of a sudden stood up and gave me a dirty look to order. The 2 other employees were friendlier and nicer but this guy took my order and charged me the $1 card fee even though he didn’t say it when he gave me the wrong price, and it’s a debit card there should not be a $1 fee on debit.

Canned ingredients??? I truly don't understand the good reviews. I was shocked to open our order and find it had canned mushrooms. I could tell just by looking at it, but tried a bite in case I was wrong and sure enough, it was a sad, rubbery mushroom with that awful canned flavor. When I called J Leno's to find out if they ran out of fresh mushrooms or if this was how they normally made pizzas, the receptionist confirmed they were always canned. When I let him know it was super disappointing they weren't using fresh ingredients and that we were first-time customers, he just said "Sorry to hear that" and hung up on me. No attempt to make it right or keep us as future customers. There are 30 other pizza places in town - pizza shops are SO competitive here. There is no room for sub-par ingredients or customer service when so many better options are readily available. We have tried a dozen places in Toms River and not a single one uses anything but fresh ingredients. To pay $55 for a 2-topping pizza and another with canned mushrooms on it (which I paid $4 extra for the mushrooms just to pick them off my pizza) is crazy. I can't remember a time in the last 20 years I ate less than half a pizza after ordering, but I could barely even choke down two slices. We will stick with Johnny G's who actually care about quality and have excellent pies.

Great plain pizza, thin, well done. Was exactly what i wanted, simple plain pie. Great job, will order from here again.

Hidden Pizza place Tom's River.
At first it appears to be closed down due to their dark tinted windows. Looks like lights were off. Pizza was good though. Friendly service. And Price was just right, no price gouging here. A slice one topping with a 20oz soda only $ 6.00. Can't go wrong

Sauce good.
And they sell mexican coke and Mexican Fanta. I'll pay them another visit next time I am in the area.

We love our food ? This is definitely the best Italian food around . We have never been disappointed, and we have been going to them over 4 year's 5 stars ? ? ? ? ?.......

Don't order they wings if you like fried wings. They will lie to you and tell you they are but they baked. They are disgusting. When I complained about the fact they lied when I asked them and asked if I could get a credit her response was, "why because they were baked?" Like what?!?! ? She admitted they were baked. I hung up I will not be ordering from here again

So I see from other reviews that you like to try and make yourself look good by talking to your customers like that. I agree with Joey from his review 7 months ago you guys are rude and shouldn't even be in business. And for the record the are not FRIED! These wings were almost white in color and feel rubber on the skin they would be crispy if fried even in a takeout container even my children know that. Yall should be ashamed of your customer service in your establishment. Also I know it wasn't the owner who responded so nice job counter girls ? ? ?

Pizza was good. The driver said I was cheap because I didn’t tip more. How rude. It was my first time ordering. Will not order again. Unprofessional.

I thought this place was going to be some Rinky dink Pizza spot with cheap greasy food and it turns out that this place is a super good sleeper spot. I had lunch here and was very impressed with the service and quality of food. The only thing that needs working on is the restaurant itself and atmosphere.

This is my go to my place, especially when I don't know where to eat. Everything is really good. My go to is a California chesssteak, or chicken franchise. Even a meatball sub I suggest. It's a little place. So id personally take out. But it's close to my house, I always tip the drivers well, and the food is good and big in size. Can't beat it. And the cost is totally worth it!

Parking: This restaurant is next to other businesses, so there is plenty of parking. The parking lot is huge actually!
